Hi I am 12, and currently weigh 137 pounds. About a month and a half ago, I weighed 154. I felt miserable in the inside, and outside, even though i had friends, and was very outgoing, but at home, i would just cry. SO I went on the internet,and found a relativly easy diet. The South Beach Diet. It is based on a low carb diet, but it is less strict. in two weeks you loose 7-12 pounds. Its awesome. Everynody notices a difference. I am on my way to reaching my goal of 125 pounds by summer. I hope all of you who want to loose weight try this. one, 7-12 pounds in 2 weeks is not healthy. niether is low carb dieting.

that is very unsafe and u'll gain it back if you eat regular amounts of carbs.........it is fast but it isn't the best you need carbs......any other things u have tried that have helped?

Hi...I'm 13 and I wiegh...well now I'm scared to look, but last time I checked it was 180. This summer I lost a lot of weight on Atkins...I went down to 165, I looked good and felt good. I also rode my bike EVERYWHERE untill I got hit by a car. Now that Crhistmas is here and I live in AK so it's all snow and I can't ride my bike. I feel worse about how look more than ever. Everyone tells me I'm pretty, but I can't be happy with myseelf untill lose wieght. I don't want to weigh 100 or sumtin right now 140 would make me happy. I feel sick everytime I look in the mirror becuase of my weight. I have seen a lot of ways to lose weight on here, but what are some fast ways. I have gone to the same school all my life with about 12 kids and we graduate from that school in June...and I want to look good. Does ANYONE have any ideas please... I have tried Atkins, Weight Watchers, Subway, and Eat right for your blood type...but the things is I i guess I love food and none of those work for me...anyone have any ideas I'm desperate here...thnx

Don't do aitkins because that can seriously hurt kids. the best way to do it is to cut out pop completely. Well I really think the absolute best is to excercise and to eat healthy

Bailie, Age 13 and everyone else trying to do the low carb thing.......read the books!! they have ton of info out there....there is a lot more to it then it seems trust me on this. i been low carbing for 5 weeks now and have lost 22 pounds(so far) (i'm so happy w/ that) but u have to read a book. there are lots of low carbs diets out there read some books(i'm doing atkins) then do what will fit you just some words of advice goodluck :)

I've heard a lot about the low carb thing and i also heard that once you quit doing it you gain all the weight back. Is that true? I don't want to have to restric carbs for the rest of my life. I think Im just going to try low calories and exercise the old fashion way. lol. But WAY TO GO!

Hey everyone!! Okay...I don't eat meat so it's hard for me to go on alot of diets. I want to lose weight and keep it off. I have started THE FIRM tapes recently. But here is my diet plan...Half a grapefruit for breakfast, half for lunch, and half for dinner. I know you will all say that I am dumb but this is a step up from what I usually eat. I barely ever even eat so I really need everyone's support on this diet. Thanks!! Tell me what ya think oh and how much weight do you think I can lose by doing this for 3 weeks and exercising every day.

I really dont think this whole grapefruit diet I am hearing about is a good idea. You arent going to get anytyhing of your nutrients. I was anorexic last year for about 6 months and this diet ur doing snt much of a step up. I have been eating healthy and drinking lotsa water. I also do tae-bo, heres a hint dont go on a diet for a target weight, go on a diet and set a target body. Its much easier to see the results in a mirror instead of a scale. Good luck. I hope I didnt sound like a snot, but it worries me to see you guys fasting and stuff.

I am on slim-fast and i have lost about 5 pounds but i seemed to have gained it all back does any one know what the easiest way to lose weight would be including the slim-fast! dnt use these diets even thought they work at first i dont think u can live that way .......... jst eat healthy food ...low fat drink water and excersize wen u can .if ur close to skool wakl every mornin and stay after skool fro some swimin good luk

I wouldn't try it....3 days to loose a lot of weight just wont be affective...i think it would be better to loose weight gradually because it's healthier and the results last longer than loosing it in 3 days...u'll just gain it back

If you're thinking of trying diet pills, FORGET IT. Not only do they not work too well, once you stop you gain the weight right back (If you lost any that is). Diet pills also mess up your electolytes, which, if serious enough, can cause shock or coma. I'm not trying to sound over-worrisome but-DON'T DO DIET PILLS.

Diet pills will screw your body up, ephedra free or not. Diet pills are basically legalized cocaine. Is that *really* something you want to put in your body? Let me tell you a secret: Anything that promises to lose you more than 2 lbs a week is hurting you. I really hope you make the right decision and don't mess up your body *for life* just because you want to look better as a teenager. Good luck, -J

Instead of having crazy diets that u can't possibly keep up until august have a nice simple one. Say. . . 30 minutes hard exersice 3-4 times a week and eating healthy food (pasta, lean meat, fruit and veg) with 1-2 solid good meals a day. Instead of having snacks eat a good brekkie. And it will be much easier to keep it up. If u have a crazy fad diet as soon as you stop or give up u will get all the weight back. Get into good habits that aren't to hard to follow and get stuck in them.

just to tell u people who want to skip meals and stuff to lose weight, don't. i did for a few days and my mood was so glum and depressing! i didn't want to do anything for the rest of the day! but then i started to eat lunch (cuzz thats the meal i skiped) and i was like the happiest person alive! my mood was alot better! i wanted to do more things and i was alot better off!

Start: 180 lb, Today: 140 lb - Hey, I've gone from 180 lbs to 140 in four months with the Atkins diet. Its a low carb diet that allows you to eat as much as you want, as long as the food has little carbs. It's an easy diet, and I'm very excited. I've never looked better.

im sorry but the atkins diet is dangerous. i research it, asked my doctor, even asked the food and drug people. it is a very risky diet that can ruin your health and confidence. sorry i dont want to embarresse you but this something that i worked hard to research on and all of my result came that i am right. the atkins diet is not safe.

Well..diet pills aren't really healthy cause they like speed up ur heartrate and stuff, so you could like die if you overdosed.
