Here is a tip I use when I am craveing I count to 10, if that does not work, I drink a lot of water, I take my dog for 50 miuntes usually. or I do running in my backyard, or in a park. I noicted you dont like sports. Try walking, at slow speed first, or running, slow, and it will be a little strange at first once you get use to it. You might end up like excrisieng.

i know the feeling but DONT STOP!!! check what you are eating you might be exercising just to put it back on... i honestly always eat what i love i just dont eat alot of it anymore or i eat half and give the rest away and take VITAMINS!!!...i think they played a big role in helping me and eat FIBER FIBER FIBER foods with tons of it,it helps you feel full longer!! i still might eat mcdonalds but instead of getting what i usaully get like 10 pc chicken nuggets meal i just get a happy kids meal or a mighty kids meal and i,l rather you eat healthy AND eat what you love cause if you dont eat the things you like when your really craving it and you just give into eating it you'll over eat it soooooo just eat it lol but not alott 1 fun size is ok... hope that helps and heres my email taylorboo922@yahoo.com if you have anymore questions

Well drink lots of water at night before your parent go to sleep so you're not hungry. Another good idea is to go to bed the same time as your parents. Finish your homework and go to bed at 9. It will benefit you immensley. I've heard studies that say that if you get more sleep you'll be tons healthier and less likely to be overweight. If you don't wanna do that then be sure your late night snack is an apple. If you get the right kind of apple they can be very sweet but very filling. I really like Gala Apples. They are sweet and juicy but still big enough to satisfy.

Ht. 5'8", Start: 228 lb, Today: 202 lb (BMI %tile: 97), Goal: 199 lb - Okay so yesterday I went to Tampa to go to Busch Gardens, I was craving chocolate cake so bad cause I'm on my period and I've been telling myself to not say I can't eat something just eat less of it, so it was time to practice what I preach I bought a 4 layer chocolate cake, yes ladies and gents FOUR LAYERS but I cut it in half so it was two layers then I eat a spoon full and decided it was to sweet for even that much so I cut that half in half and IT WORKED! I didn't want anymore chocolate cake I through the rest away. I'm so happy ;)

Ht. 5'8", Start: 211 lb, Today: 288 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 180 lb - I don't know if I can still post here because I'm not losing, but gaining. It's always the same, and I don't know how to change that. The holidays have been like non-stop eating for me, I've gained more than 15 lbs in just a few weeks. I'm fatter that ever and feel like a blob. It's already getting hard to walk longer distances, I'm not fit anymore. Everything I've tried didn't work. There are always these cravings for food. And there's always food in the house! I just go into the kitchen and get it. So sad....

GET OUT OF THE HOUSE. Seriously, do it. I used to put on 10-15 pounds every winter just because I was home for so long and just ate every time I went into the kitchen. Then I'd lose it once I started going back to school and doing things. Take up a hobby that involves you to leave the house. Take a winter class. Hang out with a friend. Take a long walk. Do something to keep you away from the kitchen.

Heyyya Everyone :). Ive found a new way to help me cut down on what i eat and it helps me to eat only when im hungry. if you are thinkin' that you're hungry then think of a meal or a specific food that you really don't like ! then have a large glass of water and wait for like 20 minutes. If you're still hungry then you can have a healthy snack or a meal whatever suits you. Xx.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Mostly I crave chocolate and carbs. Make sure to avoid salty things and brush your teeth if you feel like mindlessly snacking...it kills the urge!

The doctor told me a lot of good tips but I have no motivation....I really want to lose weight but it's really hard with what is in my house. I have no will power! Like, if there is a candy bar in the fridge, I'll see it and be like "no, I don't need it....", then 10 minutes later I come back and eat it! It gets so annoying and I really don't know what to do. hey everyone i found this new tip and i tried it and it worked here it is when you have a craving or when you feel like you want to eat or like subconciously hungry(when you know your not hungry because you just ate but your mind is telling you you are) get some warm apple cider, hot cocoa *low fat* or some other warm tea pretty much just a hot drink coffee works too ... but i stick with apple cider hope this helps a bunch of people i read some of the vulgar posts people have been putting and i have no idea why they do that because one day they will run into this problem most people do at some point in their life and its just gonna suck for them but i hope they can get help when they do. just ignore it they want to cause a stir and flare anger because right now they have no idea how stressfull all this can be .... just dont reply to their posts and sooner or later they will get bored with it

When i vist friends, parties, barbeques and other places where junk and unhealthy choices are avaibale, I'm usually faced with the descidon to eat or well, not to eat. Some say only have just a slice of that cake, or only have one piece of pizza, but my problem is that if i have that one slice of cake, next thing i know im having another one, and another one and yet another one. If your like me and feel that once you've had the junk food you might as well have more- lsiten to this. There are two types of feelings when it comes to food- craving the food and then the inital guilt that comes after overindulging. Now both feelings are uncomfotable and hard to deal with, but you have to think about which one is more positive, obvisouly the craving. Its better to do all your activies with that craving for a peice of cake in your head then the feeling of guilt and the extra calories and fat your body in turn needs to burn off. Hey Everyone! I have lost about 4 pounds in about 3 weeks. I have done all of this just by instead of coming home from school and having like another meal, I get the motivation to exercise. Over this period of time, I have trained myself to resist MOST temptations and also my cravings have praticaly stopped. I thought I was a helpless case. SO to anyone out there trying to lose weight, YOU CAN DO IT IF I DID!!! I am also looking for a weight loss buddy. My email is kittenangel1124@hellokitty.com and I weigh about 175 lbs.

You know what I realized? This might help you guys, I was just thinking and I realized the difference between when I have a craving like...I just want something, or I'm actually hungry. If it's like a craving then it would be like "o I can't wait to eat the burger I'm so hungry!" that's a craving... like... when you're actually hungry I find that I say something like "I'm hungry I wonder what I could eat." I'm not just thinkning I'm hungry becaue I want a burger or something, but I find that when I'm hungry I actually think... what can I eat now that I'm hungry, I'm not just waiting to eat something that I'm craving. I don't know if it's the same for any of you guys but I just thought I would say this because it's helped me tell the difference between when I have just a craving for something, or I'm actually really hungry.
