I haven't been eating to bad or so well either. Yesterday was bad thought. At 9am i had a doughnut and then I was at a car wash all day till 2:30 (i left early and got yelled at) and then my best friend and I ate brownie batter and both of us are trying to loss weight then I had Mac and Cheese, a brownie, 2 hot dogs, chips and i had water all day though. That was the only good thing in my day. Today i will try to do better. Anyone have AIM Im me @ XOKimiXO123

Think about eating. Don't just eat mindlessly. Also if you really can't stop eating and you know you should reach down and grab your love handles. If that doesn't stop you from pigging out on a brownie and 2 hotdogs nothing will lol. Also remember you can eat a brownie or a hot dog if you want just don't eat that much junk in one day.

Ht. 5'7, Wt. 150 - Hey Everyone, For all thoes who are struggling so hard to lose weight, heres some things that have really helped me keep the weight off. I'm sure you all know these, but hey, its always good to be reminded! 1.) NEVER OVER EAT! Once your body says full, stop right away. Throw your leftovers in the garbage, whatever. Just don't keep going, because thats the best recipe to gain weight and/or not lose. Just think before you take another bite "Is this really worth it?" 2.) STAY AWAY FROM THE JUNK FOOD! Deep fryed, somthered in greese and butter, high refined carbs like white bread, patatoes, rice, and high sugar and calrorie foods. Don't compleatly give them up otherwise you'll feel deprived. Just try to stay away from them and only eat them every once in a while in small amounts. The best way to do it is simply don't buy them! Keep them out of your cuboards and fridges. Out of sight, out of mind! 3.) ALWAYS READ LABLES! You'll be surprised at what some foods have in them. Like I always thought peanuts were low in fat untill I read the lable one time. Ahh! 4.) EXCERCISE! Weather its simply a ten minute walk everyday, a 30 minute run, swimming, biking, WHATEVER you like to do thats physical and gets your heart pumpin, do it! I found the best thing is to make an excercise plan, put it somewhere where you can see it everyday and stick to it! When you really just want to sit around on your butt and eat donuts instead of excercising, just think "Is it worth it? Do I want to be slim or not?" Just remember, once you miss it once, its easiar to do it the next time and soon everything goes down the drain. And if you do disapine yourself and get out there, you'll feel sooo good about yourself afterwards. And if you dont...well..I'm sure you know that depressing "blah!" feeling. No one likes it. Personally, I've come to love excercise! If I miss it, I feel deprived. haha! Before I used to hate it, but then I thought "What the heck! I gotta do it, so my as well love it!" 5.) Be patiant! Make yourself realistic goals and strive to achive them. And last, but not least, DON'T GIVE UP! It dosn't make you lose weight any faster and you'll kick yourself later if you do! And also, lose weight for yourself, not others. Its your life and you can choose to be the way we want and of course, we all want to be able to look in the miorr (that is one word I cannot spell!) and go "Damn! All that was worth it! I'm lookin fine!" =P We all have our ups and downs and we just have to be positive and optamistic and keep on going. Once you've lost weight, living a health lifestyle will become a part of your life since it makes you feel so much better. Than you'll be able to keep the weight off automaticly. Right? Remember, nothing tastes better than being slim! Good luck everyone! Hope this helps! (view less)

Hi, I suffered from the same problem you did. I am currently barely in the healthy weight range, but I am slowly creeping down. One thing that I did was whenever I got a craving, I would have a glass of water and wait for 10 minutes. Then, if the craving hadn't ceased, I would have an apple, banana or pear if I was craving sugar. If I was craving fat or protein(I originally perceived this craving as salt), I would have a small handful of peanuts, an avocado or a turkey bite (it is like a hot rod, except made with turkey meat--only 50 calories per 1), followed by another glass of water. Then I would engage in an interesting activity (something involving physical movement, such as playing fetch with my puppy or skipping. I found skipping particularly helpful, as I would constantly try to break my record. I found that story on this site about the baseball kid very helpful. Just one more... Just one more thing before I wrap this up--the human creature cannot live in deprevity--as the story said, enjoy the food you used to eat in half portions. If you drink 2% milk, try moving down to 1% (lol, that one came hard for me, but I finally did it). Having someone to talk to is also extremely helpful, if they are understanding and supportive. You don't want someone who is judgemental or critical. Good luck :) (view less)

Jenna, do u have to be so rude about it... its true i dunno how but it is bcuz ur brain can only consentrate on 1 thing so it either consentrate on eating or the tv and sometimes what your watching is more interesting then what ur eating ~A~

Well actually it's true, you shouldn't eat while you are watching tv. Tv and eating are both mindless activities, so of course you can do them at the same time. The thing is, you're not focusing on how much you are eating while watching tv. So you could eat a whole lot more than you think. Not a good idea!!

OMG!!! I'm 131 today!!! I can't believe it! I know I can do this! My School Goal is 125 and I have a feeling I'll get there because I have a whole month before school starts to lose 6 lbs. I think I can do it. In total I've lost 16 lbs. To me that's pretty good. My advice to everyone here.... # 1 think positive and love yourself for who you are now...# 2 Don't do a fad diet ( eat what you want but don't over do it )... and # 3 be active...you don't have to exercise...just get out there and have fun...do things with friends enjoy life Good luck everyone I'll keep you updated. It's the cheapest, safest appetite suppressant there is. 2. Keep the cupboards bare. You'll save both money and temptation. By cutting back on the amount of food choices you have around, there will be less impulse snacking. 3. Do something inspiring. A cheap incentive is sticking a picture of a dress you'd really love to wear where it will motivate you. For those with a wild side, get your belly button pierced. 4. Use spices liberally. Ginger, cayenne, jalapeno peppers and Tabasco sauce can boost your fat-burning ability by up to 25%, according to a researcher at Kyoto University in Japan. 5. Sleep for weight loss. Getting enough sleep does more than keep you from eating for energy. The University of Chicago recently found that a woman's metabolism rises 40% when she gets enough sleep. 6. Be a smart shopper. Have a list when you go to the supermarket to prevent impulse purchases. For extra exercise, leave your cart at the end of each aisle and carry what you need back to it. 7. Follow the pros' lead. To get fit fast, models cut out the ABCs -- alcohol, bread, and complex carbohydrates. 8. Beat nighttime cravings. Researchers have found that dark rooms and the darkness of night make us more likely to overeat. Try scheduling your bedtime for an hour earlier. If you have a favorite program that you like to watch at night, tape it. Switch to brighter light bulbs for cheerier surroundings, you'll be happier and less likely to binge. 9. Always eat breakfast. It fuels you for the day and you'll be less hungry at lunch. 10. Snack right. A hard candy is only about 20 calories and can last up to twenty minutes. A 400-calorie ice cream cone never lasts more than ten minutes. Try these tasty treats that are less than 150 calories: two Oreo cookies, a McDonald's Ice Cream Cone, a half cup of Italian Ice, a Starbucks Frappuccino Ice Cream Bar, Jell-o with whipped cream, angel food cake with strawberries, a Fudgsicle. 11. Listen to feel-good music when you have the urge to binge. Researchers have found that it activates the same feel-good center of the brain that eating your favorite foods does. 12. Don't eat unless you've made a place setting. 13. Drink green tea. A study conducted by the University of Switzerland discovered that drinking green tea increases the number of calories your body burns. Try to drink three cups a day. 14. Concentrate on what you're eating. Keep food out of sight while you're watching TV, reading, studying or answering email 15. Get out. Try to spend twenty minutes a day sitting outside or taking a walk or, at the very least, sit by a sunny window. Sunlight helps to control food cravings. 16. Eat healthy at the mall. Order a kid's meal or a salad without heavy dressing. Have a yogurt for a quick pick-me-up. 17. Get minty fresh. Brush your teeth and tongue with the best-tasting toothpaste you can find. Use mouthwash and breath mints to trick your taste buds. 18. Watch your portions. Just because you're given a certain portion doesn't mean that amount is what your body needs. Eat only until you're comfortably full. A little left on your plate each day adds up to a long-term decrease in calories. 19. Give up one bad eating habit. For example, if you eat in front of the TV or in bed, move your meal to the kitchen table. 20. Don't be too hard on yourself. If you have a diet plan that's too low in calories for your weight and energy level, you'll slow down your metabolism as your body attempts to conserve calories. Don't dip below 1,200 calories or aim for more than a one- to two- pound weight loss per week. 21. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. 22. Dance in your car. While you're stuck in traffic, work your abs. Concentrate on your rib cage -- pretend you're an exotic dancer and swirl around. Not only will you see your waist whittle and your abs harden, you'll release lower back tension. 23. Buy a jump rope. It's great exercise, and even more fun if you can remember all the rhymes you jumped to as a kid. You'll get your heart rate up and work the muscles in your upper and lower body, especially the stomach if you contract your abs while jumping. 24. Work your butt. When you're in the car or standing in line, contract your buttocks for fifteen second intervals. Tighten your muscles as you breathe in and then breathe out and release. It not only firms your butt, but relieves stress. 25. Act goofy. Even if you're too busy for the gym, you can still do cardio. Put on a pair of socks and slide around the house like a skater. You'll burn 150 calories in just ten minutes. 26. Get some free weights. It's all you need to start a strength-training regimen. 27. Take two steps at a time when you climb stairs. Skipping a step will force your leg and buttocks muscles to extend and work harder. Plus, this movement releases endorphins that will make you feel great! 28. Do yard work. Pull weeks, dig holes and rake your lawn. Gardening just one hour can burn up to 500 calories. 29. Rent or buy some exercise videos. It's like having a health club in the privacy of your own room. 30. Burn calories while doing housework. Do several chores at one time. For instance, make the bed, put laundry in the dryer, run upstairs to fold clean clothes and put them away. When you're making the beds, keep your shoulders back and pretend you have a book on your head. While you're dusting, roll up on the balls of your feet to work your calves. Hope this helped! Good luck! ~Annie (view less)

This was posted by a girl named erin and i thought it would be good to post it! here it is: The only real way to lose weight safely it to eat healthier and exercise. It may seem like this is said so many times but it is true. Rapid weight loss might give you immediate results, but your harming your body. Your metabolism usually slows down if you cut down your calorie intake below 1200 calories. And since you are depriving yourself of foods you want (and need), your bound to binge on them later...
