hey everyone...my name is carrie, i am 5'8 and weigh 165 lbs...i wear a size 13 pants...all of my firends are wicked skinny, like my best friend is 110 lbs, and some of my friends, who have really fast metabolisms, only weigh,l ike, 100 lbs! i get really sad about my weight, like tonight I was watching Reba on tv, and all the skinny people just made me feel worce and worce...i eat when im bored and eat until past im full, which i know i shouldn't do, but i cant help it...i have tried to diet a few times but nothing works for me...so, if anyone has some tips or anything please help me! thank you so much!

Don't diet, it's bad for your health and after you're off the diet, you'll just gain the weight back. Start off slowly, like eating healthy foods instead of junk. I reccomend cherries and grapes, since they're really sweet and give you lots of energy. That and spitting out the pits is fun :) Go down a little on your intake of food by distracting yourself when you're hungry. DON'T watch beauty shows or anything with fashion, it will only make you feel bad. Watch cartoons or comedy instead, something that will make you laugh or get caught up in the action. Another good tip would be to not put butter on things, and substitute it for other flavorings, like garlic and olive oil. Hope that helps.

I am your height and 180 so I no exactly how you feel. My cousin and I are going to start walking everyday and cutting back on carb loaded foods and meats. We have cut out sweets and fried foods. You shouldn't cut out on carbs, but it is good to replace them sometimes with fruits or veggies. Dannon light n fit yogurt is also a good thing for breakfast or snacks. You should also eat less red meats and pork. Eat more chicken and fish, not fried. Those are some tips. Good luck and wish me luck.

NEVER cut carbs from your diet. its true that eating to much carbs,such as twinkies,white bread,and donuts are very fattening. stay away from that stuff and instead of eating white bread eat whole wheat...it REALLY helps. basically,my point is eat a reasonable amount and try whole wheat. plain and simple. hope i helped!

Hey! If you wanna lose weight one thing will help! Quit drinking pop, it will help alot! Since the 1st of the month i have lost 13 pounds and it'll really help! I haven't been to this site for a while..But i figured i would post this diet method that really helped me. I was mad last summer because i was going into 8th grade and wanted a girlfriend..to play sports...etc..I started dieting in June with a VERY strict diet. What i did was..ALL SALADS..You may be thinking.."thats torture". but want to know the results?? In one month i lost 23 pounds...I stayed on it and by the time school started i lost 67 lbs. I went from a 184 lb 7th grader to a 117 lb 8th grader..You all can do it if i can..

Salads are good but dont forget that you also gotta have enough protein for growth. I put like baked chicken strips or steamed shrimps or halibut (fish) chunks in my salads. You can microwave the chicken or fish too. And use low fat salad dressing... and ground pepper is tasty too. Cucumber slices soaked for an hour in iced vinegar with pepper are great!! ANd dont lose more than a couple pounds a week or its not healthy. c ya in the chatroom... ~Caroline~

MUNCHIES!!!!!!!!!!The reason people eat so much i 'cause they got the munchies! Munchies (mUn-chEEz): (verb) The act of craving food when one is not in need of food. You eat cookies and all that junk 'cause thats the only thing layin' around! Buy some 100% fat free chips and tones of oranges (or whatever fruit you enjoy best) and scatter them about the house! That way, when you want to eat something when you're watching tv or doing homework or whatever...just grab for those healthy snakes and you'll do great!

Hi. I'm 16, a junior in H.S., weigh 160 pounds, and am 5'7". I am a member of Weight Watchers, and I've been on it for 9 weeks, but I've only had a .3 pound loss. I was wondering, since afternoon snacks are my downfall, if anyone out there has any ideas of what to eat. Sometimes, even if I'm not hungry, I'll eat because I have been in the habit of having a snack after school ever since primary school. I'm not increadibly worried about my weight because I've been exercising and eating (somewhat) less, but I would like to see more than a .3 pound change (especially when W.W. is something you have to pay for...). Please help me. Thanks!!

Hey~ I have the same problem. I like to eat something when I get home, whether I'm hungry or not. It's a bad habit, but I've used it to my advantage now. I've been keeping fruits and veggies around the house. Since you need 5 fruits a day, this is a great way to meet that standard.

Im about 178-185 pounds. Am I am about 5"5 and sometimes I feel bad about myself because my freinds wear tight shirts and they look great in them but I can't wear them because my stomach would come out so far.And my mom told me I could wear them if I lost weight.And also all of the boys at my scool go for the girls that have flat stomach's it doesn't matter how smart that person is as long as they are skinny then everyone at my school wants them!

When I was 12 I weighted about 165lbs, I was in grade 6 and I was probably the fattest grade 6 girl anyone would have ever known. I was short too which made it worse and one day my grandparents asked me if I wanted to lose weight and I said yes and they helped me go on a diet. I still ate the same foods I had always eaten but I drank about 5 glasses of water every day, strawberries and strawberries and more strawberries and cut out the chips, pop, sugar and candy stuff. The secret is to eat 6 times a day. a balanced breakfast, lunch and dinner with a lot of fruits and veggies and snacks durring the day like carrot sticks and fruit. It REALLY works. Believe me... I know exactly how you feel! I wish you the best of luck to lose the weight but don't do it for everyone else. Do it for yourself!! Want a good snack food but VERY healthy that will fill you up and is good in the summer? Take regular grapes, green or red either ones, take them off the vines, and put them all in the freezer in a zip lock bag. When you get a craving for something sweet just take out the bag and pop a couple. They're really sweet out of the freezer, and you can eat as many as you want. It's a great substitute for all that crap food us big kids eat. Best of all you don't feel guilty after eating them.
