Narisa-
I would try to set a more realistic goal for yourself instead of putting all of that pressure onl yourself to lose 30 or 40 pounds by June. That's a lot to take on, and I am sure you'd be very let down once June arrived and you hadn't reached tat goal. (It's nearly impossible).
What I would do is set a smaller, more reasonable goal. For example, to lose 5 pounds by the end of the month, or 2 pounds by the end of next week. Every so often, you could reset goals for yourself, depending on how you reach or don't reach your previous goals. Losing the weigh you want will be much easier and less stressful if you have realistic goals, and in no time, maybe not June or even July, but sooner than you think, you'll reach your goal

Hi, Amber! Ok you don't give us much to work with. All you said was u need to lose weight and help... what is your story behind it? How active are you? What is your daily diet? How much do you want to lose? I suggest you go to the BMI calculator, find where you want to, or where you should be, then go from there. You can do what I did, too. I charted my daily diet for 2 weeks to see what I eat everyday, and why I am overweight. Well, when I saw what I ate everyday, let's just say I don't question my weight anymore. I think you should do the same thing, then come back here and tell us how things went, okay?

Hi guys! I just wanted to give everyone on here a little message and hopefully try to give people some good advice!I've noticed, as I read on this board, that everyone is asking about how fast they could lose 40 pounds, 50 pounds, etc. The thing is, losing a significant amount of weight takes a LOT of time. This is not to discourage anyone, but just to set the record straight. I have been working out and eating very well for about two months and I have lost 19 lbs. However, I have lost 28 inches. Don't think of weight loss as only in pounds. If you don't already know this, muscle weighs MORE than fat but takes up much LESS space, and also burns more fat during activity or even inactivity. When you work out you build muscle and this won't take you down on the scale, but it WILL take lots of weight off and make you look much nicer. GIRLS: If you are worried about doing weight training... (view more)

try to lose about a pound a week. this way it will stay off better. if you try to eat healthier this will help you lose weight, and make you feel better. good eating habits are important, and if you have them then you are also less likely to gain the weight back.

Don't worry about the 2lbs. you could have weighed yourself at a different time of day, or your period may be coming soon.

For most people, if you go less than 1500 calories you will have to do it for the rest of your life, otherwise the weight will go back on when you stop. This is an unfortunate but unavoidable fact!!! It is a fact that lots of kids here and people everywhere are in denial about but it is true! That is why it is known scientifically that diets do not work. Permanent change of lifestyle works with regular exercise and a sensible LOW-FAT eating plan. Learning to know when you have eaten enough and eating a wide range of low fat food. An eating plan which is flexible and you can stick to it forever and it will protect your health as well as make you slim. I can see lots of kids here who are desperate to be slim, but this is the ONLY way to STAY slim once you get there!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!

well you are losing it you just dont notice because you see yourself all the time. Like lets say you didnt look at yourself for the whole time you were losing weight. after a week and a half you did look at urself, you would notice it all. you could try taking a picture of yourself (trying to show as much fat as you can.. dont worry you will LOVE yourself later for doing this) and then after a week or so take another in like the same postion and same clothes! U will notice a BIIIIGGG difference.

Ok your first mistake is to weigh yourself constently. If you don't loose weight it just makes you feel bad. Try a balenced diet or try to join a program. Exercise the most you possibly can. It makes you feel better and it helps you loose weight. Ok a tip for weighing yourself is to weigh 1 a week or month that way its less depressing

Sounds to me like you're gaining weight because you are gaining muscle. If you are sore the next day after a work out, then you are gaining muscle, and of course, muscle weighs more than fat, so don't worry about it. It will aid in weight loss in the future! =D.

Trust me 120lbs at 5'0 IS NOT THAT BAD! Don't tune me out yet though. I understand the fact you still look fat. So instead of dropping 20 lbs asap (which by the way is not really healthy) try to build and tone your muscles. Focus on excercising every muscle. If you focus on muscles and eating healthy (that means following the food pyrimid) you'll be on your way to a very healthy lifestyle. Not only will you look great but youll feel even better. And if you keep it up every day, you WILL see results.
