here's one i know for your butt nd lower back. lay on your belly with your hands crossed under yourhead and lift one leg at a time as high up as you can, alternate legs going slowly and for as many as you can or want to do. also- make sure that you're always sitting straight because it strengthens your back- inner abs- andyour pectoral muscles. good luck and congradulations on your weight loss!

EVERYBODY READ! I am 15 years old and I recently started doing Taebo. A friend of mine (who is 19 and in college) was absolutely DETERMINED to lose weight. So for about 3 weeks straight she did taebo Advanced twice a day and drank TONS of water (no soda or juice) and had slim fast ONLY when she was hungry. She would also eat salads and Special K and Gummy Bears for a snack because they are fat free. She lost 30 pounds in tha short amount of time but she worked out VERY vigorously. I wouldnt suggest doing that but I know how it is sometimes good to here of other peoples success to motivate yourself. There is a 21 day challenge for Taebo where u do some form of Taebo everyday for 21 days straight. If u skip a day u have to start over. I am on day 5 and starting tomorrow I am cuttin out all junk. Visit www.taebo.com and click on "Community Boards". There are tons of success stories and inspiration. Also visit www.caloriesperhour.com. This site is GREAT. It tells you how many calories you are burning for ur particular height and weight and for tha particular activity u are doing and for that amount of time! People can do the same exact activity for the same exact amount of time but burn different amounts of calories. The more u weigh the more u burn! This website can ALSO tell u how many calories u need to burn to reach ur goal weight by a certain day. Or how many calories u need to burn each day to reach that weight. It has a calorie calculator, a weight loss calculator... These sites are VERY motivating! I hope to have helped someone in some way. Good luck! (Also...I have been doing Taebo Advanced but when I first saw it I could barely make it thru 5 minutes. But I pushed myself and now I cannot WAIT to do it everyday. i have so much energy now. After doing the tape for only 5 days my thighs are A LOT firmer and I feel the burn in my arms, stomach and butt. Believe me it WORKS. I cannot wait to see the results I have by the time Christmas rolls around!) (view less)

Ht. 5'1", Today: 180 lb (BMI %tile: 98) - Hi.My name is Stephanie.I'm 13 years old.I have always been a little chubby, but until I started Middle School,I never really cared much. Then, the last couple of weeks of seventh grade, me and a couple of my friends made a home video for our english class. When we watched it in class, I was blown away.I was HUGE.I hadn't realized how big I really was.I stepped on a scale for the first time in my life and gasped at the number.180lbs.I am only about 5'1,so I knew this was not a healthy weight.I started to diet, but then slacked off, figuring "why bother?" Then, when I started eighth grade this year, all the girls had developed over the summer and had become really pretty. All the guys were whistling as they went by and going out with them.It really made me upset.I wanted a guy to whistle at me or ask me out.I'm also afraid of having heart problems or developing diabetes.Right now,I'm trying to cut down on portions. Not eat any sugary, processed foods. For the past couple of days, I've been running laps, doing cardio and yoga.Everytime I get on the scale, though,it shows a different number. One minute it will be 176,the next,183.What am I doing wrong? Lend me your support, please.I REALLY need it.All of my friends are smaller, and don't understand.THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

i have also figured out that if you don't like exercising you aren't going to do it,so find some kind of physical activity that you LIKE doing and do it.don't be afraid to try new things, you never know, you may find someting physical that you like doing.plus, keep in mind that muscle(please excuse my spelling LOL)weighs more then fat

pilates is a muscle strengthening system that combines yoga and muscle toning to sculpt, lengthen, and tone your muscles.it works, but i recommend that it is combined with a cardio routine that elivates your heart-rate.also, be sure to eat right and stay postive, remeber that losing weight takes time and ambition GOOD LUCK and stay healty!

You need to start eating healthier ,exercising daily, and being more active. For eating healthy you should only drink one small glass of pop or juice a day and the rest water , eat one small sweet snack a day and the rest fruits and veggies but eat 3 regular meals a day but dont over do it past one plate. For exercising you should do 50 situps twice a day ,50 leg lifts teice a day on each side ,and go up and down the stairs 10 times ( 1 up and down counts as 1) a day. Since you are innactive you should pick a sport you like and try it for me I have cheerleading every Sunday,Gymnastics on Monday, and Karate on Tuesdays. If your not into sports much you should try riding your bike around with your friends, walking the dog, going for a swim, etc. Hope this helps you out. get a resistant band with the ball/ropy thing(sorry- don't know the tec. term!) so that you can do weight lifting with something you can stick in between doors to use. they're really great- exspecially if you get a booklet or something to show you all the diff. moves you can do with it...

Yes, weighlifting helps a lot! One pound of muscle burns 50 calories a day, and one pound of fat burns 2-5 calories a day. Also, weightlifting increases your metabolism for a while when you lift the weights, as does aerobics and such, but it also keeps it higher for longer than aerobics. But you should do both weightlifting and aerobics to get the full benefit. Because if you don't lose the layer of fat that's on top of your muscles, then you won't see your muscles very well. Good job on losing weight, and keep drinking plenty of water! lol God bless you! P.S. My e-mail is: arwen_elf_16@yahoo.com if you want to e-mail me (this goes for anybody)

Clare is right. You can't drop that many calories, it isn't safe!!! Please don't go on that diet for ur sake. But do run the mile, that is a good plan, but i would gradually build up to it. If you go right into the mile ur first time u could hurt ur self, b/c ur body isn't used to it. I wouls start walking for 20 min. for a couple days, then walk faster (almost a jog) for a copuple days, then jog, for a few days, then do all of that before you run, as ur warm up, when you do get to the point when you can run. Also another good thing to do is split the time u r on the tredmill. do like 15 min in the morning, and like 15/ 20 min at nite, that will also help you lose weight faster. And one more thing (I know this is a lot) vary ur exersie. Do stuff on the tredmill every other day. And every day that u r not on the tredmill, work ur upper body. (Do not do any exercises with ur legs casue they got a work out on the tredmill and they need to rest.) But do like sit-ups and stuff like that, and maintain a healthy diet, and u will be well on ur way to weight loss!!!

exercise does help even if it isn't for an hour, excpesially if you do small amounts through out the day becasue when you exercise for like 10 min your motabilism rises and continues at rate a while after you stop exercising

try reverse crunches: lift your legs instead of your shoulders, or do bicycle crunches.

try to eat healthier. Go to http://www.nal.usda.gov:8001/py/pmap.htm and try to follow the pyramid, eating healthy foods. Start doing more activities, like walking the dog, or dancing to the radio for half a hour. Jump rope and trampoling also does wonders.
