Hi! I'm 5'6 and weigh 211 I need help in how to lose weight to be a size 12 and my weight 170 my graduation and stuff is coming up and when I go into stores to shop they usually have my size but it's so much easier to look for sizes like 8 and 10's because they always have smaller sizes and it can get really frustrating so if anyone has any advice for me on what to in excercise wise and the food I should eat please reply!

hey chica, well im 5'5 and wiegh 147, size 9. As for excerices Tae-Bo w/ Bill Blanks is the best, i don't know if you've heard of it, youll definetly see results doing his tapes. As for eating, i cut on all junk food period. i have toast and an egg in the morning, tuna with vegatbles at lunch, and potatoes or cambells soup for dinner with no snacks in between. Im still trying to lose weight so i can be 125lbs. But good luck!

Being overweight is not what you may think. People, skinny people, tell us to loose weight. Did they ever think that we might not know how to? Sure, calorie counting, excercise. But for most of us, we're kids. We don't know what it's like to be skinny. We have been fat since, well, forever.We don't know what to do. We want to be liked for ourselves, but some people can't see past the large sizes we wear or our weight. Others sympathzise that oh, we're poor fat people. We're strong because places like this web site make us strong and make us think that we're not the only ones being made fun of. I could have done this by myself, and if i did i would probably 180 pounds right now. But i believe that the most powerful Weight loss tool is group support. It keeps you going and encourages you not to give up. I hope anyone who wants to lose weight will consider being in a support group because it is the best thing you can do for yourself. I'm 5'4 150lb. I've read some of the post here from skinny people trying to lose weight and it rely makes me angry. I have a little stomche myself but I don't care not every one has to look like super modles. So I say if you're not in real need of weight loss you need to go eat a candy bare and stop worrying about how you look.

some of those so callled skinny people may have a serious problem and be one the verge of anorexia so dont tell them to leave and go eat a candy bar they just want to talk about there problems w/ weight u should help them not critisize them by the way im 14 5'9 105 lbs

I've been trying to loose weight too I would consider myself to be a big eater the thing i did most is sowly change the type of food I ate. Me and my friends all take popcorn and pasta to school etc But we don't put anything like salt on our food. You should read fats and figures by Karen Daily (Australian author.)

Can anyone help me? I heard about Greer Childers book and I was wondering if anyone on here has ever tried it and if so, what were your results? Also, I was wondering if anyone has done yoga and if so, how fast did they see results. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!! I'M DESPERATE!!!!

hi, just to tell u the greer childers thing works seriously it does!my cousin had done it and she looks great.she did it for three months and u could eat anything u want exept u have to cut back on red meat a little.and it just 15 minutes a day.and now i think i gonna try it it sounds so cool.

Don't listen to your coach, you are thin. I know how it feels though because my ballet teachers always told me I was fat. You may want to think about whether its worth playing that sport, because your coach should NOT be saying that to you.

Like- ok, I play soccer and I guess I have the "typical" soccer look- as in big, sort of muscular thighs... how do you get rid of this? It is so annoying- I never wear shorts cept on the field and like I want to, but it looks totally grody. So yeah- help please!!

Hon' it's muscles that you've got there. You have to just be happy with your legs. You are a strong girl and you obviously work hard at soccer. Athletic girls are beautiful too!

Looking at these posts, I see most of you are trying to lose 10-20 pounds. Is there anyone (like me) who is heavier and trying to lose 50-60 pounds? I would love talking to other teens who also have severe weight problems, and are trying to lose a lot of weight. We could motivate each other to succeed. :o)-Arsa

I know exactly how you feel! I need to lose 50-60 pounds. Don't feel bad about yourself, if you are self confident it will be alot easier. When I realised this, I made alot of new friends, and then I actually started to lose weight! e-mail me if you ever want to talk. ibelieve62@hotmail.com
