You've totally got this! Sometimes we slip up, but the important thing is to pick yourself right back up & go on like the mistake never happened & not repeating the mistake day after day. Honestly though, I know you don't want to weight yourself (& I totally don't blame you)...but I've found for me that stepping on the scale & actually SEEING the number is a huge wakeup call & actually MOTIVATES you to get back on the wagon. Sometimes seeing the truth right there in your face makes you really realize you need to get back on track. Just a little tip to stop from binging/eating when you're not hungry....post-pone eating...do it later...do something else first. If you're craving chips, for example, instead of going to the cupboard & getting them...just tell yourself you'll do it later...and watch a tv show first, or even better go for a walk first...more often than not, doing something else will completely take your mind off eating!

When you feel a binge coming on.. try counting to 10 slowly and realizing why you're eating. Are you physically hungry? When was the last time you ate? Many times it can be overwhelming when we feel powerless to our urges but I've found it helpful to keep myself busy. Boredom, Restlessness, Depression, Joy can all be reasons why you eat but it's important to remember that YOU do have control. Remind yourself why you don't want to eat, you want to look trimmer in clothes, feel healthier, be able to run easier. Once you acknowledge the reasons behind your "hunger" you can overpower them. I believe in you!
PLUS avoid trigger foods. Salt, caffeine, sugar, high fat can lead to an all night binge. I tell myself, "would I want to eat a carrot?" If the answer is no, then I shouldn't be eating that cupcake either. GoodLUCK! (: Be strong

Something I found interesting in your post: you 'hated' the compliments. Why? You may feel uncomfortable or like it's a jinx on your weight loss, but try to remember that everyone is just trying to let you know that they're proud of you and don't let it deter you from your ultimate goal.
With the binging, is it possible you tend to 'extreme diet' when you lose weight? That's the quickest way to sabotage yourself because at some point, your body goes 'enough! I want food!' and once you start eating, it's pretty hard to stop. If that's the case, you need to tweak your eating habits to include small amounts of things you enjoy, along with healthy, natural foods. Also, getting out of the house/keeping your hands busy/drinking a lot of water help a lot with overeating. And hey, just remember that tomorrow is a new day and you can start fresh.
One last thing: I would say yes, you'll... (view more)

When you are about to binge get a cup of warm green tea and drink it!. It really works! It suppresses your hunger.

Try to keep busy and make a meal plan times when you can eat and stick to it. I know that since I've gone to college I can only eat a few times a day (we have to eat meals in the sorority house) and I've lost about 40lbs since mid July. I had a big problem with binging and overeating though-not so much exercise. Wait, instead of eating if you really aren't hungry do a workout video or go run/walk around the block.
