don't give up, i've been stuggling for a long time. Find activities that you enjoy and find a way to work out at it. I love to dance even if the dances are ridiculus as long as i burn calories. start off slow...walk 1/2 hour a day or take stairs. I know it's very hard and giving up is not a way to solve the problems. Keep the FAITH

Ht. 5'8", Start: 225 lb, Today: 154 lb (BMI: 23), Goal: 145 lb - so i'm prettty sure I lost another pound, its hard to tell on my scale cause its not a digital (i want to buy one of those bad boys real soon!) but whatever, pretty damn sure i did! I quit smoking today so i'm kind of nervous i'll gain some weight back as a result because i heard that happens, but maybe if i replace my cravings for cigarettes with drinking tea or coffee or something instead of eating that will help. ahh im scared! best of luck guys!

Hey guys! I got a job at a restaurant and all I do is run around and stand behind the counter. Last year when I worked for 2 weeks at a bingo hall, I lost 5lbs! Anyway, my point is, if you have a job that makes you move around, it's easier to lose weight because you won't think about eating all the time! It's my second day....so I'll tell you guys when I lose some pounds.

Sara~ I hear you about gaining weight really rapidly... I was always small in high school and this fall when I came to school I started gaining weight really fast.(I have gained 18 pds since last spring) I am not involved in any sports here and I think that the exercise really helped me to stay at a good weight... maybe you could get a friend to walk with you every night for an hour if it is cold out you could even walk inside your mall.. we have been doing that and we have met alot of other people by doing this also.. a friend and I have been doing that... I am not losing the weight i would like to.. but I am toning... and tht makes me feel better about myself.. another trick i have learned is when I sit and watch a movie, do homework, or play on my computer I get hungry.. I try to drink a bottle of water first to make sure I am really hungry, and not just bored before I eat.... another helpful tip for me is I dont drink pop or eat junkfood if it isnt around.. so I just make it a point to have healthy snacks for myself around.. like fruit and vegetables.. hope this helps you out!
