Ht. 5'3", Start: 216 lb, Today: 216 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 140 lb - Okay, my prom is May 7th. It would be really nice to go and feel beautiful in my dress, and i don't think i'd feel the best with my weight currently. My eating habits are terrible, just average really. I drink water and tea mostly. I don't always eat healthy food, but i usually eat it in small portions. My concern is really exercise. I tend to get bored easily when working out which is why i quit after a week or so. What can i do to stop that?

I have the same problem, and here are some solutions that I'm trying: 1. If you want to start running, sign up for a race a few months ahead of time and train with something like the Couch to 5K method. 2. Pick up a new sport you've never tried, like tennis. 3. Find a friend who wants to try out a sport with you. 4. If you're near a gym, sign up for a class like cycling. If you have to sign up for a month at a time, even better. 5. Walk someone's dog (bonus if you can get paid for it).

Ht. 5'3", Start: 200 lb, Today: 194 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 130 lb - I haven't been here in probably about 5 years, and in those years I've definitely seen some extremes in my weight. During the summer I reached my highest weight, 210lbs. But, after 4 months at college, I'm down to about 194 and it feels great. It sounds cliche, but I want to start off fresh with the new year. Any help with motivation and tips would be appreciated. Good luck everyone!

Well a weightloss buddy is always helpful! Lots of fresh fruit, veggies, lean protein and whole grains. Workout! Find something you love. I hate sports but found out I love the cardio classes at my local YMCA. Or walk for an hour everyday. It's free and tones you up. Good luck!

Hey Jess, well i still have a long way to go but i can tell you how i started.First off i stoped drinking my calories, so no juice no soda none of that. Instead i try to eat as much fruit as possible. I also avoid fried foods, or fast foods. But when i go out i do have something i don't normally have, just try your hardest not to pig out which btw at frist is hella hard. For breakfast and dinner i have something light idk that's just me you don't have to. As for workingout, exercisetv.com is awsome try it out they have free workouts. Also i downloaded a turbojam workout if you want it just tell me and i can find a way to e-mail it to you. Also when i'm down i look for motivation, i search weighloss stories in google or youtube, there are lots. Last thing is never give up no matter how hard it gets we can all do this i believe in me and in you . God bless and you can count on me if you need a weight loss buddy =)

Ht. 5'9", Start: 350 lb, Today: 350 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 180 lb - Hello everyone I am 19 years old weighing 350 pounds. I would like to lose between 3-5 pounds a week (I know this is possible). I have a intern in Florida as an lifeguard for Disney in August and I will be very embarrassed to wall around in a swim suit looking the way I look at the moment. Also being the size that I am I am unable to ride the rides at the amusement park. Currently I am in college and it is very hard for me to make it to the gym. I walk around a very large campus daily (this is about the only type of exercise that I do daily). I used to play a lot of sports (basketball & swimming and diving) so I believe I have a lot of muscle on me. However, I have about 3 times more fat than muscle. I am unsure on how to go about losing weight. I have pretty good eating habits (in my opinion). I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. I also only drink water (well over 8 glasses a day). I also have three balance meals a day (sometimes only two). Since I am unable to make it to the gym I want to try to exercise for at least an hour on my WII FIT daily. However, I need motivation to do so. Sometimes I get bored with the game and stop only after ten minutes. I also at times find myself spending most of the hour in the fun balance games. I would like to work with someone one on one and try to work out together using WII FIT (maybe on webcam if that’s possible). I think motivation is a key part of a weight loss plan and I believe that Is what I need. I also need to know exactly what I should be doing on the WII FIT for a good work out (I am clueless what a good workout is). Below I have listed the different aerobic exercises for WII FIT Short Distance Run 10 Minute Run Free Run 2 Minute Hula-hoop 5 Minute Hula-hoop 2 Minute Basic Step 10 Minute Advance Step Free Step Up To 30 Minutes (this is where you walk on and off the stepper while watching your favorite TV show) you can reach me on AOL (Jaime11Jones) or YIM (Jaimenjones) night and day thank you I hope to hear from everyone soon good luck!

I commend you on trying to find a way to exercise that you can get into instead of opting not to exercise at all. I think that you should consider trying to find someone who is in your approximate weight range to exercise with you, trust me, exercising is much easier when you do it with a partner that shares the same conditions as you do. and remember that the weight loss process is NOT EASY so stick to it!!! U won't regret it if you do but you will if you don't.

My best friend bought a hula hoop...you know one of those heavy bamboo ones? Well, she used it for half an hour to an hour everyday for a week and she lost 5lbs! I'm going to get one tomorrow! But it just doesn't make sense to me...how can hula hooping make someone lose so much weight? She didn't diet or do any other exercises, either! I doubt it's water weight, because she does look thinner. Have any of you had good experiences with the hula hoop? Oh...and this is how I did today: Breakfast: whole wheat bread, 2 nectarines Snack: oatmeal Lunch: sushi Snack: Pinacolada drink Dinner roasted chicken, veggies. Exercise: 200 jumping jacks, 50 crunches and still doing more tonight! ~~MissyK~~

Hi, new here. Just wondering if anyone has any exercise routines that they feel really work. I have a membership to a gym and I work out there, walk a mile, and am thinking about starting Pilates, but I'm at a lost trying to figure out how much is enough or not enough. Anybody 'experienced' :) in this department could you please help me out? Thanx

Walk as much as you possibly can. Walking is the easiest exercise to lose weight. You can also throw in some aerobics, stretches, and strengthening exercises to help.

If you have stairs, walk up and down them constantly, do leg lifts (lie on your back and hold you legs together about 2-6 inches off the floor), sit ups, push ups, squats if you have weights, and use dumbells (handweights or a can of food you don't like) to strengthen your arms.

If you can't stop eating....walk,walk, walk...wallk until you can't walk no more. do this every single day. walking is the easiest exercise. instead of taking elevators use the stairs. Instead of riding in a car, walk to places. Every little thing helps.

I'm not a teenager (!), but to answer your question: about a year ago, I did Tae Bo for a whole year. Can't remember how much I lost, but it did make me stronger! Not only that, by doing it reg. (@ least 20min. a day), I felt more focused (I have ADD), & more confident! Try it! I'm trying to get back into shape, too....I recommend Tae Bo Basic, &/or CRUNCH/Tae Boxing. Also try a Pilates Video....

I know what you mean! I'm the same way. I'm in college now (a junior almost senior) and I find myself doing the same. However, what I like to do is take walks around the campus, rollerblade(my fav thing). Anyway, find a park or if ya can get to your campus, walk around it and make yourself more familar with it. AS for food, omg, I know its hard, esspecially around finals*makes a face* and such makes food more tempting. But I found that if you exercise, I do not become as hunger. Msg back here if ya want my screen name or e-mail adress.
