Today i can't seem to stop eating after school, i had a banana, lowfat yogurt and almonds, 4 califoria rolls, some vanilla frozen yogurt and a piece of bread. That's like... a lot lol. How do i stop eating so much?

You probably ate because of a few reasons. You were thirsty for water (we constantly mistake dehydration for hunger) or you were bored or you were watching TV. (I still have that problem, it feels good to eat and watch TV, then before you know if you've eaten the whole box of whatever!

I'm so sick of being like this im 5'8 and 140 maybe even 145. I dont like how i look and it makes me uncomfortable. My older sister is 5'6 and she weighs about 115 at the most, whenever i go out with her i always feel that all the attention goes towards her and her incredibly small size 3 waist. It is so unfair, truth be told i wish i could look like her, even if it meant being 5'6. but i cant shrink now its too late, i do however have time to lose weight before we go to the beach and thats what i need help with. I would LOVE to get down to about 120 the closer i am to being 100 lbs the better. So please if you have any diet tips or you want a diet buddy shout me a holla at cheer_n_dance4life@hotmail.com P.s not only that but i cheer and dance usully during the fall- spring season and do jr.lifeguards during the summer and all the other girls have teeny tiny little waists. my parens say its baby fat and it wont leave until in 16 maybe even 18 but theres no way im gunna wait around for that to happen and besides i want to look good for my fiirst year of high school next year! please help!

hey, being 5'8 and 140-145 or whatever, you are perfectly healthy. You will find over the next few years, hopefully sooner than later, that you have so much more to offer the world than your weight...what you focus on is not what other people see--what other people see and appreciate are the smiles, the warmth you radiate, the authenticness of all your feelings--good and down, angry and elated--just try for me, for a couple of days to say to yourself "My body is created for this moment, I am created to live in this moment, my life is in this moment." Living in weight sucks, I've wasted my last 5 years there and I've lost a lot of friends and loved ones because I refused to look at myself the way the looked at me. Read Reviving Ophelia, by Mary Pipher--maybe you're too young, or lacking the perspective to appreciate it all now--but it will make things clearer as you go. curly_red@hotmail.com

High School is great. It's also scarry. And whatever weight you are, if you think you'll be a great cheerleader, do it. But there will be A LOT of speculation. And that doesn't go away with the fat you burn. Being skinny doesn't make you popular. And many people are popular because they are mean. Try to focus on being a good student, eating healthy, exercising, having fun, and concentrate on where you will be once you're out of High School.

I wiegh 145 lbs and im 5'5', even though it doesn't sound like a big deal, i look huge, with fat everywhere. Im sick of being depressed about my wieght and not being proud of my body. I see georgeous girls with flat stomachs and perfectly shaped bodies, and i feel worse wishing i could look like that. Im trying to change that, i guarantee that no one, absolutely no one, will lose wieght if they don't work in the inside first, and how they feel about themselves, and how they act. My goal is to wieght 125 lbs. I think the wrong thing that any of you could think is that its about how you look, to much attention is being payed to looks, and thats not whats important. You should like yourself and love yourself first, and want to lose wieght to be more healthy or just to become a better person than you already are...good luck girls, i rooting with ya, hope to reach my goals!

I heard about this drink called the "Hollywood Drink" it's 100% juice and it doesn't cantain any of that stuff that most get slim quick plans do. In 48 hours u can lose up to 10 pounds. It cleans out your body so you can become healthy too. It has a Guarantee and everything. It has been apporved as a safe juice. the site is http://www.mineralconnection.com/hollywood.htmI want to know if you think I should try it. You don't put pounds back on either like other diets. You transition back 2 your regular diet.

Be very, very wary of anything that claims this. Have tried umpteen of these such diets in the past - juice, cabbage soup, you name it. You do actually lose weight very quickly because you are losing water, but you do put it on again, very, very quickly. I sincerely hope I am wrong but I would be very, very cautious.

Ok, this is a post about committment. I am currently overweight, and I have started to endure in cardiorepiratory work outs...but the problem is, how do I stay on task? I tend to slack off because I get discouraged. I have a very low metabolism, so I lose weight VERY slowly, and it's hard...I am currently in a size 16-18, and I guess my first goal is to get down to a 13...then work from there. I don't need tips on how to diet or exercise but of commitment and dedication. I would appreciate all the help I can get. Thanks a bunch! :)

please don't give up.When I was a teenager,Iwas 125 , and could eat what ever I wanted and as much as I wanted. After I turned 20,that changed.I wasn't hanging out with my friends as often. Then before I knew it I had gained 20 lbs.About four years later and at my heavyest 205lbs.I deceiced to lose some weight. And I did.I got to 145.I stayed there for about five years. Then I started to see-saw with my weight.Gain 40 ,lose 20, gain 30 and then lose some again. Then in March of 2000 Iwas back up to 193lbs.I was wearing 20's and 22,s.I didn't like myself very much. Here I was 37 years old.weighting 195.I knew the older Igot, the harder it would be.But I knew I had to lose weight.SO that March I started, Ihate to call it a diet, cause it wasn't really.I simpley ate less and did more.I like to work in my yards. When I'm out there I lose track of time. I'm busy and don't think of eatting. And most important,I wasn't sitting. Sitting and EATTING.By Sept. I was down to 158.That was 6 mos.,and 32 lbs. Then the weather started to change, started getting cooler. And I prefered to stay inside. Iknew I would have to watch my self, or I would gain to much back.If I found myself sitting around.Iwould get up and do something, like housework, rearrange something.Well I made it though the winter, and weighed 160. But I did see-saw with my weight. But I knew if I could keep it below 170lbs. that once March came I would be back out in my yards.Right now I'm 154. I don't want to be 125lbs. again but 140 would be nice.About a size 10 or 12.By the way I'm 5'7 and average frame. So thats about what I need to be. I also know that once I reach the weight I want.I'll have to watch myself still. I'll need to check my weight.Cause from pass experince,I will gain it before I know it.Being overweight isn't something I did over night. But it is something I don't have to be,you don't have to be. I know that 1 to 2 lbs a week don't sound very encouraging, but it's the only safe way. And the way that works the best.It may take 2-3 weeks before you see the first drop in your weight. But don't give up.Do this for yourself, think of the future and all the things you want to do. I'm not saying you can't you can't have a future if your over weight. But that you can have a better one with less weight. (view less)
