PARENTS BULLETIN BOARD

~REPLY WRITING AREA~

Before you post a reply saying that your child is overweight or that you want them to lose weight, please first check our Weight Calculator. If the calculator says that your child is healthy weight, please do not post a message saying that they are overweight or that you want them to lose weight.  This offends the kids who really are overweight.  Thanks a lot.

If you are an adult and not a parent, type your child's age as '0'

Check here if you are a teen or preteen and type your age in the Child's Age box

From J.F., child's age 17

Boy, tall (75 inches, 6'3", 254 pounds), active, plays baseball every fall and spring. We (the parents) encourage a healthy lifestyle but certainly do not push it down his throat, I am one or two pounds overweight (at 46) and his mom is slim so we are relatively good role models. However, the problem recently is that his brother who is 3 years younger and looks up to him a lot has picked up a lot of his eating habits and is getting a little chubby. What to do?
