Ht. 5'7, Wt. 176 ish - ok if i eat 850 cal a day would that be starveing my self? and run 1 and a half miles and bike a mile would that be to much

a pound is equal to 1500 calories so doctors recommend 1500 a day but the fact is you have to burn that amount off toloose weight so i say eat 1200 calories

WAYYYY not enough!!!! you need atleast 1600-2800 to be healthy. get those extra cals by eating fruit and stuff it'll give ya more energy to excercize and it wont bring down your matabolism so youll lose weight faster and keep it off.

that's wayyyyyy too little. starvation is the absolute WORST way to lose weight. cus once you start eating normal again it's gonna all come back plus more and you can get some serious health problems from it. you should eat about 1600-1900 calories a day. my dietition told me that. it takes time to lose weight and you will probably lose more in the begining but you have to stick to it and make sure you are eating healthy and excercising enough(4-6 days a week). would you rather be skinny for maybe 2 weeks and unhealthy and hungry or be normal weight and healthy and full for the rest of your life?

you NEED more calories than that. period. you should have almost 1200.
