Ht. 5'4", Wt. 150 - Hey everyone. I need some help, because I will be going on a cruise on June 11th for a week with my friend. And of course everyone knows of all the fatty foods but i cannot eat healthy because all of my friends will think i will be all obssesed with my weight if i eat only healthy. So i think i will just let myself go but don't get stuffed.They also have a gym even though your supposed to be like 16 i still go in it. So i think ill work out for about an hour a day. And also me and my friend promised to layout like everyday for 30min or more and that burns cals cause you sweat right? Please if u have any suggestions on what i should do say them.

#1, don't sunbathe! You don't burn cals but instead lose water so you get dehydrated and get horrible sunburns. #2, you shouldn't care about what your friends think! Eat pretty healthy but then have like, a small peice of cake or something.Besides, you'll be on the go the entire time. Don't worry so much you can't have fun!!

I am amandas mom, and I have been on a cruise. There is lots of wonderful food, and a ton of stairs!!! Never take the elevator cuz they were really slow on our ship! I ate really well, and never gain a pound because I was constantly on the go! They have dance clubs and of coarse the gym and all of that, but you can burn lots of calories just staying active, without realizing you are even getting a work out! Dont know where the cruise is going, but when you go to shore if possible snorkle hike and walk! Have fun, and dont think about all of the food, listen to your tummy it will tell you when to stop! And try a nibble of everything, maybe the people you are with are willing to let you taste their treats to save you from wasting food.

sweating maybe burns 2 calories when just sitting around....you're more likely to get melanoma than lose weight when laying in the sun.

Go to the gym, first thing in the mornings for 1 hour. After eat a light/med breakfast. Eat light on the cruise, limit you carbs, because food is everywhere. Drink lots of water, plus swim laps in the pools, while your friend sunbathe. Most ships have a track on top deck. Walk that in the early afternoons before dinner, with your friend, to help keep you burning calories. On the dinner menu, there are light entree, you might want to try, skip the midnight buffet if you are up that late. All in all do all the activities that you can, which does not entail food, you will have so much fun.

ummm no. u dont loose weight by just sitting around u actually get more dehydrated by laying in the sun causeing sunburn and when u get bad sun burn.... u dont want to move to fast i say when ur on your cruise, if theres a pool go swim in there for 2 -3 hours at a time remember sun screen than during swimming i sugest a fruit, no candy because #1 thats not a good diet food and #2 it makes your stomach feel bad if u get to deep in water, than make the cruise pplz mad and chase your friend around u kno run!!! e-mail me for any more ? allisonhade8th@yahoo.com
