Ht. 5'1", Wt. 146 - Ok, well I know I've been slacking and not sticking to my New Year's Resolution, but the reason, I just don't see a point. I try and try, and nothing works. Then, I'm afraid what people will think when I lose weight! Like for example, last year there was this girl at my school who was really big, like 170lb., then she came back to 7th grade this year with a super small waist weighing 115lb. People made fun of her and would ask her things like "Hey fattie! You trying to fit in with us healthy people?!" Waht if I do lose weight, and people say that to me?

Believe me, it will be worth it! YOU are worth the effort. If people say things like that to you, just shrug it off... you will have a beautiful, thinner, healthier body whichis all that really matters!

P.S. I started out in October of 2005 at 5ft. 4in. and 184lbs, now I am 5ft. 5in. and 166.2 lbs, and my ultimate goal (recommended by mt doc) is 145-150, so you can believe it works!

Shannon, YOU ARE SO WORTH THIS! I believe in you, girl! You can loose weight! You can look good! More importantly, do you want to grow up to have clogged arteries, weak bones, or be totally unhappy with your body because you didn't take car of yourself?! Listen, you don't need to starve yourself or go on any fancy diets to lose weight! I recommend the book The Diet for Teenagers Only (I started it when I was your age). It's a plan. It's a slow lifestyle change they you will use forever. It will show you how to eat right for your growing body and exercise and feel god about yourself. It talks about eating disorders. It's very personalized for you calorie category! Shannon, remember what you wrote on your story about being beautiful? Believe it! You are, I am, every girl is, no matter if she weighs 450 lbs or 150lbs!!! Good luck, and ignore any jerk who stands in your way! DO THIS FOR YOU!!!

don't worry about it... just do all u can do to lose weight and if people say that to u then ignore them....
