Reply from Mir, Age 14 - 06/26/07 - IP#: 71.214.147.xxx I don't think you should be nervous. I mean, they're your friends, right? They should be happy that you are more comfortable with your body. Alot more people will be noticing you; not in a bad way, but in a good way
Reply from Shannon, Age 13 - 06/23/07 - IP#: 71.114.44.xxx Wow..you REALLY need to calm down! Yes, I admit, I was a little nervous about what some of the people at school would say when I came back in September, 20 or 30lb. lighter. But you know what? If they say something that upsets you about you being thinner, then just simply say "I'm happy with my new body, and if you aren't just deal with it because it's not your body!" And yes I think you will lose weight. Swimming is supposed to be really good for the body (or at least that's what I've read). But don't push yourself. Just swim an hour per day Mon.-Fri. and you should be fine (as long as you eat healthy, too). Anyway, good luck! And again, don't worry what your friends say! If they are true friends, they'll be happy for you! Keep up the good work!
