One, junk food isn't very filling, it can take a lot to make you feel full, so something high in calories that you need to eat a lot of in order to feel full equals tons of empty calories. Two, it has no nutritional value, if she was to eat only junk food chances are she'd end up malnourished, as she'd be getting nothing but fat, and sodium, and sugar, and empty calories. Three, logically, it makes no sense. Maybe if you had a tape worm or something sure, but eating only junk food, unless you're living off like, one single serving bag of chips a day or something, but if you're eating junk food multiple times a day instead of meals, chances are you'll be comsuming more calories than the normal person, and if you're still overeating, you cannot lose weight. Unless you cut calories and burn more calories than you take in, you won't ever lose weight.
