Reply from maddy, Age 13 - 07/03/06 - IP#: 24.147.13.xxx First off, don't call yourself fat! that just makes you sad and shoots down your confidence. what i do, is I try to move around as much as possible whether at home or at school. i'm not talking bouncing off the walls, i mean, if you are bored and resort to watching TV, don't use the remote, get up to change the channel. things like that. also, if you have gym at your school, work extra hard. If you have a dog, walk him/her! walking and running are great excersize. and now, it's summer! swimming is great excersize. When it's meal time, don't splurge. keep one or two things in mind that you want, wheter that be looking good in a bathing suit, or being able to run for a sport. keep those in mind when you might have cravings for things like potato chips and candy (or even leftovers). celery is a great alternitave.but also, American cheese is SO bad for you, it's barely even classified as a cheese, it's all chemicals! mozzerella and muster cheeses are almost fat free and taste better, and personally, i like skim milk better that any other kind. it's the least fattening for you. but the biggest thing to keep in mind is that you can do it! good luck! and have fun.
Reply from Sammy, Age 13 - 08/08/05 - IP#: 70.174.70.xxx I've set a workout schedule thing. It's experimental, but I've done it twice today and I feel great. Here it is- 100 curl ups (hands behind head) 25 crunches for each leg (when you're in curl up position, put your left hand behind your head so that your elbow is sticking out, and you put your right foot on your left knee so that it is in a triangle too, and touch your left elbow to your right knee. It goes vice versa.) 15 push-ups 1 minute leg hold (when you lie on your stomach and left your feet in the air w/o bending your legs, then flip so that you're on your back and do the same thing, then you roll on your side and lift one leg at a time, for one minute each.) 200 jumping jacks 10 cartwheels 100 toe-touches (right to left, left to right, 100 total) 50 leg crunches (bending at the knee so that your arms touch the floor, repeated 50 times) Running up and down the stairs 20 times Make certain to drink a bottle of water. It's a pretty good little program, and if you do it once in the morning, once at noon, and once in the evening (you could even throw in one more!) you'll probably feel better aobut yourself. As for results, I just started this yesturday, but I'll keep you updated.
