Ht. 5'4, Wt. 140 - ok i took the bmi calculator and it said i was overwieght, the one thing i dont get is that im athletic, i do track, cross country, soccer, volleyball and ,horseback riding.and hwne i ask someone honest to g what thery think aboout me theyu say i look goood and hot but then i get around this one friend and she says i look a lil chubby but i dont need to go on a diet.

Reply from Lilly, Age 13 - 04/25/06 - IP#: 67.54.196.xxx hun same here i do soccer volleyball track horseback riding cross country o and i used to do ballet im 5'4 and 135 my frends say they wish they had my body " probaly because ima double d" and then il aask this one girl andm shell say you look good but it wouldnt kill you to lose a pound or two. i really listen to her because shes the only one who says something negative and i agree with her because i have negative thoughts toward my body like my stomach i really want a six pack and my inner thighs i really want to lose that flab and my upper arm i awant to losr that flab. i finnaly just decided to do 500 crunches a day and 500 windmills a day my legs i ll just ride everyday

My bmi was saying i was overweight too! well my advise to you is to talk to your parents or gardians about having a dietian or nutrionest! I have a nutrinest and she helps me by telling how to control my weight and what i should eat when i am doing sports. Your problem sounds like the same thing as me! i play soccer, field hockey, swimming, softball, and lots of other sports! some time your body is on a big body fram like muscle and you might be big boned since u are athletic! A program i have tried was Slimkids, it is a plan for child over weight! Go on www.slimkids.com and look at your bmi there because they ask for your body type! And always if your docter is saying that you are overweight, they might think you don't have a bad risk for being unhealthy! stay active and stay in school!
