Ht. 5'1", Wt. 205 - I just got home from my weight watchers meeting and I lost 3 pounds this week. Now, this may sound small but this is the first time I've ever tried to lose weight and I'm ALREADY seeing results. :) I feel awesome and a half. So yeah, I'm down to 202.8 lbs and I cannnnot wait to get down below 200. YAY ME!!!
Reply from Samantha, Age 17 - 05/16/06 - IP#: 24.61.182.xxx you can find a meeting in your area (www.weightwatchers.com) (you can check out a meeting completely free without making any committments) but here's what I can tell you... they tell you to be good to yourself and to be healthy, teach you about protion control and how to eat out and still eat right, how to make it thru hollidays and not gain... and... whatever you weigh, you're somewhere in one of their weight ranges and you look at this sheet they give you and it tells you how many "points" you get in a day. I happen to get 26 in a day. You can eat ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING you want to as long as you stay in your points. Umm.. most veggies are 0 points, so are condiments... and when you go to the meetings, there is soooooo much support there. People share things that have helped them lose weight and the instructor goes over something new to try like fun new excercises or how to make the plan easier for you. There;s a lot of motivation there. So yeah, you go once a week and you weight in (they record it for you so its wicked easy) and you do the meeting and then you leave. You can go to as many meetings as you want in one week if you need extra support, and... um... oh yeah! so, you spend points on food through out the day but guess what! 2 things... A) you have 35 extra "flex" points to use per week as needed (or you dont have to use them at all) AND you can earn points back by excercising. Its really a cool and easy program to follow. Oh, and make sure you eat at least as many points as you're given because otherwise your body thinks you're starving it and it will hold on to all your food and stor it as fat because it doesnt know when it will get more. Hope this helps, but definitely go on the web site or check out a meeting. There;s no pressure.
