Reply from Samantha, Age 17 - 05/22/06 - IP#: 24.61.182.xxx adress the issue before your aniversary. (She'll be flattered you remembered.) Be like... Our three month anniversary is coming up and I feel like we're close enough now to discuss things openly... I'm concerned about you...etc" AND NO, LOL, DO NOT DO IT WHEN YOU"RE OUT TO DINNER!!!
Reply from Shan, Age 19 - 05/22/06 - IP#: 24.201.88.xxx I strongly suggest you talk to the school cousellor or anyone like that. It sounds like smt u wouldn't do, but it just takes a few minutes and they're very nice, and they will love you for being concerned for someone else. If you don't want to be with her, that's ok it happens, but she will probobly lose a lot of weight if u break up with her b/c girls do that to feel better about themselves. I think you're being too hard on her. Remember this isn't her choice, it probobly started with how her parents treated her. If a mother isn't happy with herself, often the daughter gets even worst. So there are 2 choices....you can break up with her if u don't want to be with her and you're not responsible for fixing her anyways(don't feel tied down or anything), or you can ask the cousellor to find her some help which will make you breathe easier and you can support her and be honest and say that it's a turn-off when a girl calls herself fat. Just like everyone else in the world, she deserves to feel great about herself and live a happy life, unfortunately our minds can play tricks on us.....

Reply from mark, Age 15 - 05/22/06 - IP#: 60.229.183.xxx believe me i have done everything i can i love her but i cant stand her why are girls like this
Reply from Samantha, Age 17 - 05/21/06 - IP#: 24.61.182.xxx Sit down with her and tell her (lovingly and supportively) exactly what you just posted in your comment. You love her and you don't know why girls think so poorly of themselves. Tell her that her obsession with her weight is getting in the way of you two being together. If she sees that you don't care about weight then maybe she won't care so much.
Reply from Lizzy, Age 14 - 05/21/06 - IP#: 70.230.172.xxx NO! don't dump her if she feeeling bad about herself. if you dump her she'll probably think you thought she was fat and then became anorexic. talk to her parens privately because this could get serious.
