You've GOT to eat more than just a banana!!! eat 5 small meals or 3 reg. sized meals per day and stop eating at each meal when your body tells you. What are fasting from? All food altogether? Don't do the latter if you are going to fast from ANYTHING let it be from fatty foods and sweets and soda.
