Ht. 5' 1'', Wt. 171 lbs. - Hi my name is Samantha I am 14 years old and weigh 171 pounds. I am not extremely fat but I want to be skinny like all of the girls in my school who say they need to gain wieght. Well I need to lose it I feet down and I don't want to feel that way I need help.

I am so self concious some of the time, but encouragement from people on this website really help. To start with, I would cut soda out of your diet. I did it and over about three months i lost five pounds. You can still treat youself once and a while as a little incentive- but whatever you do, don't drink diet soda. It has been proven that the aspartame in the soda will make you gain twice as much weight as the regular soda would. Secondly, don't try to completely cut your favorite foods out of your diet- try to incorporate them in, but always eat them in moderation. If you have a craving for chocolate- don't fight it, you will usually end up eating more. Suck on a hersheys kiss or take a small handful of chocolate chips. Craving salt? Eat a small pickle. Something crunchy? Rice cakes are a great alternative to chips and come in flavors- caramel, cheese, apple, etc. If you write down all that you have eaten and look back on it, you will begin to realize what foods make you gain weight, and what foods help shed the pounds. Reply from Nadie, Age 15 - 06/19/06 - IP#: 71.12.12.xxx first of all never ever lose weight for ANYONE else but YOURSELF! sometimes they are good encouragment to look at while excersizing though :-p lol but to start off you should cut down on the sodas maybe instead of ice cream frozen yogurt put your meals into smaller portions you know try to substitue things in. like instead of dressing on your salad use lemon juice or fat free =] good luck

Loose it for ur health and personal happiness!!! what i've been doing is not eating food or drinks with high fructose corn syrup in it,or nothing with hydrogentated oil, its tough but its good for u! Excersise ALOT! u should try bellydancing! its wicked fun and it burns calories fast u should check out the bellydanceshop.com. if u do decide to start bellydancing i reccomend using Mezdeke bellydancing music ( cd 4 is the best),Göbek Danslar, or pick up some cds by Hossam Ramzy. u should get this book called " The diet for teens only" its a great book that helps u alot with weight loss!
