Ht. 5'7'', Wt. 350 - I know im 18 but I figured since im still technically a teen itll be ok. I hope you guys dont mind. Im at a serious weight, its becoming a problem. Ive seen alot of joke posters here, I hope you all take me seriously. Alot of things have gotten to me lately. I went to the hospital and the scale went up to 300 on the large numbers, then another 50 with the small numbers, and it barely read my weight. When I walk 2 blocks up to the corner store my back starts to hurt and I get out of breath. I want to lose weight and I always say im going to do it tomarrow, then the next day, etc. I want to do it now. Alot of the time i skip breakfast and ill have a little snack for lunch but not a full lunch, then I eat dinner. Seems like a good plan right? Well then during the night I get hungry and will eat all night before I go to bed. I need some advice.

Okay I know its strange, but I'm just starting off loosing weight and I thought we could be buddies. You can help me and i can help you. My older sister Lissy was 315 and lost alot of weight with cutting back on starches and sweets and excercise daily. oh by the way if you want to be buddies let me know ok. I'm not trying to say this in a mean way but to get to a weight like 350 lbs you have to be eating a lot and not exerciseing. There is one simple change besides limiting junk food and that it cut back on your portions. Seriously if you cut back 500 calories a day you will lose a pound a week. When was the last time you lost 56 lbs in a year??? Hope that helps you can do it!!

Its not a good plan for eating. That will slow your metabolism and make it harder to lose weight. Eat 5-6 small meals throughout the day. When you feel a hunger pang eat a serving of triscuits, or some organic cheese, and then just equate it to what your doctor feels is the right amount of calories for you to consume. I know you can do this--good luck!

Breakfast should be the biggest meal of the day. ideally, dinner should be the smallest, but for us Americans (im assuming u r an american, im sorry if u r not) dinner is usually the biggest. You can totally lose weight!!! At this point, even the small changes will make pounds melt off. Start off with the small things, and eventually get to the harder parts of dieting. Just start cutting down on soda, reducing chocolate, etc. Good luck!! Remember, we are here for you and want you to succeed!!!

Hi chelsey, as long as you have determination you will be able to loose weight. i advise to you that u continue walking try going round the block 3 times or more everyday, it doesnt have to be all in one go, but make sure it is at a brisk pace, if your back starts to hurt have a rest then start again. Dont cut out all the junk food you have been use to eating for the past cople of years at one go. i suggest for this week and forever DO NOT drink any soda, have sugar free squash and planty of water, also CUT OUT CHOCOLATE for the next couple of months, it will be hard but you will see the difference. try not to eat any other junk foods, if you cannot resist only have half or a third of the portion you would usually of had. Also eat more fruit and veg, have brown bread instead of white. If you do start craving food and you know you shouldnt be,chew gum or drink water because thirst is often mistaken for hunger. Also eat regularly, every 3 to 4 hours, make sure what you are eating isnt to unhealthy. YOU MUST eat breakfast it speeds up your metabolism so that you can burn fat during the day, people who dont eat breakfast are more likely to put on weight. Dance, take the stairs, go out have fun with your friends, evry movement you make you are burning calories, dont spend half the day sitting at home feeling sorry for yourself, your beautiful, you just got to believe it. I also feel setting yourself goals really works for example, to loose 2lbs by the end of each week, or buy yourself an item of clothing you want to fit into and make sure that you fit into it in a set period of time. You can do it. Lastly dont think of this as a diet think of it as a lifestly change.
