Ht. ..., Wt. ... - I start my diet tomorrow and i always keep retrying diets giving up then binging. But this time i really want to keep going because i just want to be an average skinny child. I think that if i go running early in the morning it will motivate me to eat healthy but i can't seem to be able to wake up early. I need to do it early because i don't want anyone to know im dieting. I would like to lose about five pounds maybe more before september. In time for school and the field hockey season and cross country. Please post your advice on sticking to diets exercise an keeping it secret? PLEASE POST
Reply from Shari, Age 15 - 07/13/06 - IP#: 65.75.89.xxx LOL I kno this sounds a bit weird but u must let the "inner you" be in control, you should only eat when you are hungry and if you are tempted 2 eat something just tell yourself no because you are practicing self control and when you see that you are putting self control into habit denying yourself your wants will come naturally and just satify your needs I exercise in my room because im too embarrassed to go outside, i do 10 mins of cardio and 20+ mins of strength training lol but hey u have cute guys at the gym an if they see u exercising im sure they will respect u for it and maybe u cud make urself a few friends and really show wen u go home to ur other friends
Reply from Deb, Age 18 - 07/13/06 - IP#: 66.25.157.xxx i know what you mean about keeping it a secret!! sometimes i get so embarassed when i'm exercising because i think that everybody around me is like laughing because i'm like trying to lose weight or something. i go to this gym that's in a different neighborhood, because my dad got free family memberships there because he did some work for them. i almost never see anybody i know, although sometimes i do, the only problem is there are all these cute boys there and i get embarassed.. but.. ijust know i'm not going to see them again. so it's okay. if your out with friends. and they want you to eat something... and you don't want it. just say nah, i'm not really hungry right now. you don't have to tell them you're dieting. just say you're not hungry. alsooo.. what i do is these videos. at home. that way you're in your house and nobdoy has to see you but you! i do a "walk away the pounds" video. it's 3 miles and i feel great after. just getting up and moving while you're at home is great. hope that helped!! keep up the work! and don't quit
