Ht. 5'9, Wt. 223 - ok, so as you can see, im 5'9 and 223, i've been ATTEMPTING to diet for a while and then summer roled around and i wanted to look 'hot' for this next school year. diets hate me so i decided to partially starve and only eat one meal a day, or under 500 calories in a day,and excerise, i know it's a horrible 'diet' but since im 223...it's not AS bad..right?

Under 1000 calories a day you are in starvation mode. Your body takes it as a threat, so it makes more fat and stores it just in case since you will be starving. But then when you start eating regular again, you have all that extra weight that your body produced. If you starve yourself, you will be skinny and short term. Why don't you do it the healthy way and get skinny slow, but for a lifetime. What would you rather be, skinny but with anorexia, or healthy. Though you may not be healthy now, but your won't be healthy if you starve anyway.
Reply from jenna, Age 14 - 07/24/06 - IP#: 69.177.52.xxx no it doesnt matter how much u way...starving yourself is not good...i mean it will make u lose the weight..but once you're at a weight you want to be at and start eating again, you will gain it back...also somedays you will be super hungry and just binge to no end..trust me i've been through it..so just cut out all bad foods and eat healthy foods and as much fruits and vegetables as you can...and make sure you get enough exercise..good luck :]
