All carbs are good for you, in moderation. You are supposed to get carbs from both grains and produce.

Okay first of all, your doctor is on crack. :) With that said, carbs do not turn into fat. EXCESS carbs turn into fat. Carbs are a kind of sugar. Sugar is energy. If you use up the energy you consume then there is nothing left to turn into fat. If you eat more enery than you're expending through exercise, your body will store it. Weight loss isn't as black and white as you think it is, I think you would see my point of vue if you educated yourself a little more in this area. Good Luck

well this wasnt for ppl trying to lose 10-20 pounds, also i was given this tip by my doctor. if u disagree then please do not follow my tip. in no way am i saying it was okay to eat that cookie. it was unhealthy. but like i said, im simply making up for it by eating lettuce and celery throughout the day. next time when i reach for a cookie i will remember what i will have to do. its teaching the brain and the stomach at the same time as my doctor explained. once again, i am only following my doctor. if u find this unhealthy then don't follow my tip.

That's not a good tip. That's seriously unhealthy. Its about balance. You eat something bad, you work it off, but continue to eat everything else in a nutritional sense.

so you are saying it's ok to eat a chocolate chip cookie, as long as that's the only thing you eat? Wow, that is about the most unhealthy thing you can do for your body. Weight loss is more than just calories, at least if you want to be healthy. You still need to eat foods with a variety of nutrients. If you do mess up, just accept it, and move on, trying not to mess up again. And carbs are not bad...you need them to survive. Just eat them in moderation, like everything else.
