Ht. 5'3, Wt. 173 - I've been working out at a gym everyday (and i mean, everyday) for 2 hrs. One hour is for cardio and the other is for strength training. I'm eating healthy with special K, rice cakes, salads, fish, water. Ive been exercising for 3 weeks and i have not lost 1 pound!! however, i do see a differnce in my shape. But what about the weight?

First off, I see no problem with doing two hours a day at the gym, especially since its only half cardio. Keep it up, making sure you switch up your routine (your body gets used to the same one, and becomes more efficient, burning less calories)and be patient. You are probably lost fat, but added muscle. Have you tried measuring yourself? Make sure you give your body a rest a least once a week, your body needs time to repair itself, and this is actually the time you build muscle. And is that all you are eating? It doesnt really seem enough. Special K really isnt good for you...it has lots of sugar, or something like that in it, I cant quite remember what. You have no fruits, and Im far from being a nutrition expert, but it doesnt seem like you have many carbs or fats (yes they are important). Your body might be going into starvation mode, conserving all the calories it does have.

Most likley your body is used to what you're doing. If you've been doing the same thing for the past 2 weeks, then your body will be used to it. And sorry to say you seem REALLY motivated but 2 hours of excersize a DAY is overdoing it. I would say cut down to 1 hour every other day..Once you get used to that. You can add in another day and you'll start losing. FIrst you have to get down to a reasonable excersize amount and then add on little by little once you see that you're not getting results. Also try measuring instead of weighing in because it's true, you might be gaining muscle. GOOD LUCK :)

how long have you been doing this if you havent been doing it for at least 2 weeks your probally not going to see any results on the scale because before you lose weight you put on muscle this is why most diets fail in the first 2 weeks keep with the same thing your doing and you will begin to see results on the scale. You really shouldnt be worried about what you see on the scale anyway you should be more worried about how you look and feel.

i was doing almost the same thing except i wasnt doing strenth traing. i didnt lose any weight like that either. than i saw my doctor told him. he said it was a lil too much. he said i should realy focus on my diet. the small things count like butter and stuff. he recommeded 30 mins of walking. but i just timed myself for our school mile. ( i usually dread it since im the last one running with the time 12:00) but know that i have been practicing for a month ive gotten down to 10:31 which i am MUCH more happier with. i paced myself doing 5.7 on the tread mill. before i would go real fast and then walk. lol but i got determined to run the whole thing and i got through it. i cant tell u how amazing it feels. i lost 10 pounds and i havnt lost any pant sizes =(. im sorry for going on but i hope something of my reply helped.
