Ht. 5'5, Wt. 195 - ive decided i want to lose weight slowly b/c i was just doing research on it and its better to do so that way it is easier to keep it off so ive decided to eat 1200 cals a day and burn 875 more than what i eat so by may i will reach my goal sound good?

Actually 1200 isn't bad. Nutritionists say not to go below that. If you hit a plateau, up it maybe 200-300 calores and see if it works for you. Good luck!

1200 calories a day is way to little for someone your size. 1200 calories a day would be reasonable for someone who is 5 feet tall and 100 pounds. I'm 5'6, 173 and I need 2000 cals a day to MAINTAIN my weight, since I'm trying to lose weight I eat around 1600. Talk to your doctor or take a test online based on measurements to determine a healthy calorie intake for yourself. Good Luck!
