Ht. 5'4", Wt. 201 - Me being overweight hasn't really bothered me until this summer, when I really packed on the pounds. Starting out the summer at around 190, I've gained eleven pounds. This morning I got on the scale and saw that it read "201", and I started crying. I'm still crying. I haven't been paying that much attention to my weight, and I never intended for this to happen. I'm dying to be thin, like my friends. It kills me when my best friend, who weighs 95 pounds, calls herself fat. If she's fat, I'm a monster. Then she says that I'm not fat. She's just saying it to be nice, which kills me. My boyfriend tells me I'm perfect, but I'm sure he wishes I were thinner. I'm horrible at exercise. I'm pretty good at dieting. I really need help getting my weight down. I've never even been on one of these sites. Even now. I saw my weight, got depressed, and started eating. I really really need help. My physical is in October, and I'm tired of always hearing the doctor tell me about my health risks. It scares me. I'm really scared right now. I need help.

Okay, take a deep breath. First of all you have to analyze your eating habits and find out whats causing the problem. Check your portion sizes and if you have to measure your food to see if your eating the correct serving size. Don't allow yourself to have more than 3 snacks a day if your problem is munching all day. If you have to, keep track of what you eat in a journal. That's what really helped me when I was dieting. It kept me from snacking too much. For exercise do anything you find fun. Take a hip hop class or go for a walk. Call up your boyfriend and force him to go for a long walk with you. That's what he's there for. Your boyfriend really does love you no matter who you are. Contrary to popular belief, guys don't like stick women. Also when you get further into the exercise make sure you start doing some toning work. When I dropped my weight I was so excited, but then looked at how flabby my skinny self looked. Its nice when you lose that weight and then you realize you have tons of muscle under there. Don't worry, we'll be with you every step of the way and good luck!!!!!!!!!

Just slowly ease yourself into a healthier lifestyle. I started out just by eating no junk food and taking nice walks. Now I am a "health nut" that won't eat anything with poor ingredients, and I try to get in 30 minutes of cardio in daily.
