Ht. 5'5, Wt. 191 - yesterday i started running it was a walk/run kind of thing but i did it non stop is it normal to feel a bit sore or should i be stretching more?

You need to do like 1 minutes of light jogging then stretch. That way you stretch warm muscles. It seems like a lot of work to go for a run but it's so important to not pull anything.
