Reply from John, Age 14 - 09/02/06 - IP#: 70.18.76.xxx what a stupid way to lose weight. sorry to sound harsh, but it's true. what's the point of losing weight if it's gonna kill you.. lol...just do it the healthy way, like everyone else. believe me, it will backfire. If you get below a certain calorie amount (1200 i believe?) your body will go into starvation mode and hold on to any amount of body fat it can. Once you start eating normal again (face it, you will have to some time) you're going the gain the weight you lost---and more back. Just do it the healthy way. exercise, and drink lots of water. change your attitude about weight loss too. losing 50 pounds in 3 months will have a dramatic impact in your health... even.. possibly death. please take time to read these comments, they could save your life. i just hope you take time to think and avoid the stupid decision you're making.

Reply from allie, Age 20 - 09/01/06 - IP#: 70.78.76.xxx well just so you know... - it might seem like this is working for a few days but it WILL backfire on you soon! - when you eat so little, your body actually goes into starvation mode, and stops burning fat! instead, it stores every tiny little bit of food that you eat as fat right away because it doensnt know when you are going to get your next meal. this means you will stop losing weight, and as soon as you start eating normally you are going to gain all the weight back. - you can still lose weight by eating smaller portions of healthy food and getting exercise. but trust me, it is NOT a good idea to eat once a day. it might work short term, but it is impossible to do for four months. you will just end up messing up your body and not losing any weight. lots of people have been there and done that - hopefully you will take this into consideration before you learn the hard way.
