Ht. 5'1, Wt. 176 - This is for Isabella, Mikayla, Kayla, and Caitlyne. I havent been on here in a few days but I wanted to thank you guys for your comments on my last post. I'm doing better now. I'm losing weight steadily and it's getting a little easier to cut my portions in the dining hall. Some one pointed out that the dining hall doesn't have whole grains, and you're right, so I'm going to get a box of triscuit thin-crisps tomorrow. I used to eat them all the time at home and they were a big source of whole grains for me. Just wanted to thank you and tell you I'm doing well. Good luck to all of you. -Samantha

No problem. I know how tricky those dining halls can be. I once went to band camp (laugh it up) and it was at some college. It was all you could eat and the food was so good. At the time I think I was like 2 weeks into my diet (I was 9 at the time 15 now and it just struck me how long I've been doing this) and it was a pain in the butt. I was also a vegetarian though so it was cool having all these great vegi entries that my parents normally didn't have time to cook for me. Good luck and enjoy college life!!! I have 3 years to go and am dreading the C word. Apparantly as a sophmore I should have a plan for my life already made...

Hey, no prob! It's what weight-watching sister do! I'm glad you're starting to see results again. I'm trying to add in more exercise to strengthen and tone my body and I already the right foods, but I use the Weight Watchers POINTS system to keep track of how much I eat. Call it a MUCH simpler calore-counting method. I also need to eat more fruit! So right now my goal is to get 4-6 servings of grain, 1 or 2 servings of protein, 2 fruits, three veggies, three dairy, 8 glasses of water, and 30 min. of exercise, alternating from cardio to strengthening each week! PLus Flex POints come in handy for occasional splurge, without busting your healthy eating habits!
