Ht. 5'3", Wt. 142 - ok so my biggest that keeps me from losing weight I think is snacking when I get home from school and not being able to exercise everyday. When I get home from school I am so hungry for somereason. I usually have a sandwich, 1 cup of pasta, or a yogurt and half a grapefruit or apple for lunch. It is so hard to get to the gym everday too. I can't get a ride right from school and it is so busy between 5-6 oclock you can't even get a treadmill or an elpitical. But between 6-8 when there is like nobody there it is the time I am getting so tired and am ready to sleep or I have a report due the next day or I'm babysitting, or my mom has a meeting and my dad works nights so I can't get a ride. I don't know what to do!
Reply from kee, Age 15 - 10/03/06 - IP#: 64.136.27.xxx yeah, I know what you mean. usually, i don't eat breakfeast or lunch, and i pig out when I get home, and it really doesn't help that im a picky eater and i think that vegetables are gross, so i only eat junk food. well, i can't really help you, but good luck. and if youre already losing weight, CONGRATS! Reply from Kayla, Age 15 - 10/02/06 - IP#: 68.229.76.xxx You don't have to go to a gym to work out. Believe me, I've never been to one. You have to find ways to work out a home. Go running around the block or around your yard. You can run anywhere. You can dance anywhere. You can pick up a cheap workout tape and do it somewhere. There's always somehow to exercise so that's really not an excuse. You'll find a way. About eating when you get home, that's my problem too. What you need to do is figure out what you're really craving. When I come home I crave something salty so I usually pop up some low calorie pop corn or have a few pretzel rods and little bit of low fat cheese. If you crave something sweet have a hundred calorie pack, low calorie ice cream, or piece of fruit waiting for you at home. Sometimes what I like to do is have a really lite lunch (like a cup of soup) and then come home and cook up some spaghetti. So I'm getting that meal but I'm not really blowing it because its kind of like my lunch just a little later. So you can beat those after school cravings. Good Luck!
