Reply from Kayla, Age 15 - 10/13/06 - IP#: 68.229.76.xxx Okay... this is bad but you know that. So lets take it apart and look. Sorry, but we don't have a hardees here so I'm not quite sure to do with that. I know that was the worst thing you did today. The great thing about breakfast is that because you've just woken up and are starting fresh its the easiest time in the day to eat healthy and take in all those nutrients your body needs. Get a cereal that you like without lots of sugar and eat a cup of that with some skim milk, and then a cup of skim milk with a piece of fruit. I do that every day and for some reason it makes my diet twice as easy. So if you don't listen to anything else I say, atleast do that. For lunch, the healthy choice is fine on it's own. Just watch your processed food intake for the rest of the day. For lunch its better if you eat one of the cafe or lunch ones with a salad. Try to put those salad sprays or vinegar on your salad if you do that. No croutons or anything. Those can be enjoyed if you're going to eat the salad by itself, but not with a meal. Plus no chips. Chips are one of those rare foods on my no no list. You always eat more than you should and they trigger something that make you want more and more. Believe me. If your hungry after lunch then you should eat something with more fiber. I do love how you had the broccoli though. Kudos! From burger king, the whoppers not the worst choice but not the best one though. I'm glad you didn't get mayo so kudos again on that. I personally love their salads. If your eating it for dinner I believe you can put on the chicken, a few croutons and yummies, and a little bit of really good dressing (but low-fat if they have it). Here's an old weight watchers trick: pour the salad out in a little cup, dip the tip of your fork in it, and then spear your lettuce. You get all the flavor, but your salad is soaking in dressing. I love the bannana for a snack. They're great and they fill you up. The candy bar isn't so great. My trick if you love candy and can be trusted is to get those little stick/rods. They have 90 calories and are great for filling a craving for chocolate. Just make sure you only eat one. You can have that, or you can find a healthy granola bar, or maybe some dark chocolate. I personally am in love with skinny cow ice cream treats so that may be something to look into. I love the basketball in your exerciese. I personally believe that exercise should be fun and spontaneous. That way it becomes a life time habit. Strength training is great, but just go out with a soccer ball, or play catch or something. After a while you'll just start spending more and more time outside exercising. Your burning calories, its taking time away from mindless snacking, and you don't even know it's exercise because you're having so much fun. So I hope this helps and don't worry. Everyone, including me and everyone here, has an awful day sometimes. The key is to learn from what happened and have an extra fantastic one tomorrow to make up for it. Good luck!
Reply from orcy, Age 15 - 10/13/06 - IP#: 70.172.200.xxx yeah you didn't do good eating. at all. no burging king, you need healthier breakfasts, don't eat a whole candy bar. those have more fat then a meal should have and almost as many calories. your excersice was ok but you could do a little bit more cardio if you ddint play basketball for that long.
