This is going to sound totally silly, but when you're cleaning the bathroom (mirrors, floors, toilet *eew*, bathtub) play music and dance while you're working, or when you're scrubbing something put a little extra muscle into it. It was a feature in this month's SHAPE magazine that household chores can burn up to 500 calories an hour. And also, volunteer to do the gardening work - you'll be tan and fit in no time! :D And as for your "cake" problem: ask your mom if she could buy a pecan pie (if you like pecans). It isn't as fatty as, say, a chocolate mousse pie. Or if you don't like pecan's, try getting something other than chocolate. Possibly low fat or sugar free? Just a suggestion ;) And if all of the above fail, suggest to your mom that you only buy one pie a week. Take a tiny piece and savor it. There isn't anything wrong with having a 'special treat' once in a while ;) Just remember: eat when you're hungry, stop when you're full. Hope I helped! :]
