Ht. 5'8", Wt. 185 - Well I still haven't gained the 10 pounds back like all you guys said. I don't eat over 1000 calories a day and no sweets. So I wont be gaining it back.
Reply from sabina, Age 17 - 12/17/06 - IP#: 69.118.233.xxx look i get that some of the posts may sound harsh but what they're saying is true and it's also great advice. eating less than 1000 calories will hurt you so bad, it will do what orcy said and mess with ur heart. I'm talking from experience, I had basically starved myself and then i was like hey i'm not gaining anything, but after awhile i started getting very dizzy, and would see black spots. It took awhile so don't say," i'm perfectly fine now" When i went to the cardiologist he took an EKG and now i'm officially on meds for my heart. he said it will be a long time before my heart is back to normal but wha ti did really screwed me over. So take the advice and eat more. Burn them off with exercise but be smart ant eat at least 1200 calories a day.
Reply from Lindsey, Age 11 - 12/17/06 - IP#: 207.200.116.xxx Your starving yourself and you will do exactly what Orcy said. Ad just because your mom only gained one pound back doesn't mean you won't and YOU WILL. Think what you want but you are wrong. DEAD WRONG.

Reply from Elizabeth, Age 15 - 12/17/06 - IP#: 67.48.226.xxx Yea I know I'm not stupid, my mom lost 18 pounds when she was sick and only gained a pound back and that was over a month ago. So yea w/e.. I've been dieting for about 2 yrs now and lost a total of 60 pounds. So I think I know what I'm talking about. Plus it's all how you eat. Half the ppl on here eat tons of snacks I don't do that. I have under 1000 calories a day.
Reply from Alissa, Age 18 - 12/17/06 - IP#: 152.163.101.xxx Yeah, you may not have gained it back *yet*, but trust me, from experience, you will once you start eating remotely normal again. Also, when you lose weight really fast its usually water or even muscle. Even though its hard, losing slow and steady is best because you won't damage your metabolism, you probably won't have the skin problem, and you're more than likely to keep it off easier as an adult. Good luck with your endeavors.
