Ht. 5'9", Wt. 290 - Dear Bluberbusters, My life has been destroyed every since I can remember. People don't understand what its like being oveweight or obese in Americas society today.Everywhere I go i'm always self-concious. I tug on my shirt(every five min.) so my "rolls" won't show,I buy bigger clothes so no one wil see my body. Its horrible. People laugh at me and call me names.My sisters are't "small," but smaller than me. I really want to loose weight but not to the point of starving or anything like that. My life has been destroyed due to my weight. My friends say it hurts them to see me so depressed and always putting myself down because there "small." It want to loose weight in 2007. I need to loose about 220lbs. All I'm asking for is support from teens who feel my pain. If ANYONE has any tips or sucessful weight loss stories PLEASE help me.

Reply from alexis, Age 13 - 01/01/07 - IP#: 72.224.46.xxx i may weigh 100 lbs less than you, but thats exactly how am. and you dont have to lose 220 lbs, you dont wanna be 80 lbs. but yah at times i forget about my weight but at times i can get sooooo self concious. especially around my cousin cuz shes the 120 lbs cute skinny thin pretty fly girl that everyboy on the earth wants to go out with. i just wanns be confident like her and not feel like its soo much competition because i do get jealous sometimes. but enough about me. well if you get the right mindset and set a goal i believe you can lose weight! g luck.

Reply from andrea, Age 15 - 01/01/07 - IP#: 70.123.118.xxx i know you can do it!...i lost 40 lbs last year...just so you know...im not 155..im 135..but last year at this time i was around 170...i told myself that i was ready to change and i even started whitening my teeth to boost self esteem. i just told myself that i didnt need certain foods that i really wanted. ive always done sports..so exercising is fairly easy to me..and you have to remember that you can have a treat every now and then..like you can have any meal you want every 2 weeks :)

I am SURE you can do it, it may take a while, just don't give up. And loosing 220 pounds would make you weihg 70 which is not good, so i think you meant 120 which is reasonable.
