Ht. 5'3", Wt. 208 - I haven't posted on here in a really long time, but I used to come here a lot. I sorta fell off the wagon, so to speak with the whole weight loss thing, but I maintained a steady weight for a year. Over the holidays I gained several back, so I decided I really needed to push myself and finally lose all the weight I have wanted to for years, cause I'm just so miserable being fat. I am doing pretty good so far, I've lost about 3 pounds in a week or so. My problems are these: Soda and desserts. I only drink diet soda, but I know that it can hinder weight loss just as much as regular... so I some advice on how to stay away from that, because I work in a restaurant, so the soda is free... so I always want it instead of water. =/ As far as desserts are concerned, there's still some christmas treats hanging around... and hopefully my mom will not buy anymore sweets or junk after it's gone. But just incase... I need tips on how to stay away from that stuff too. Everything else seems to be going just dandy for the time being. Any help is great! Thanks for listening to me yammer. The taste of mint makes you not hungrey, also a lot of times im just looking for something to do and i end up eating and so sucking on a mint keeps my mouth busy, and it gives me time to decide if i really am hungry. And mints dont have many calories, certainly less than cookies or junk food. :) good luck.

Make your water taste good, then you will want to drink water instead of soda. For the past couple years soda has pretty much had me addicted. Then we fount those crystal light to go packets that you just pour in your water and shake it up (or stir it) it tastes awesome and my soda intake has went down. But I don`t know what to tell you about the desserts,lol. I`m also very addicted to them. I have broke that bad habit yet = /. Well good luck!! 3 Samantha
