Reply from Lizz, Age 16 - 03/28/07 - IP#: 70.153.198.xxx Hehe. I love water. People diss it, but im like Woahhh, water is amazing.
Reply from Alyssia, Age 17 - 03/28/07 - IP#: 165.139.169.xxx Lizz, you are also right about the sodium thing. It isn't good, and your body may retain water, but as long as you drink a lot of water, it won't be retained. Instead it'll flush the sodium out of your system. The more water you drink, the less water is retained. : )
Reply from Alyssia, Age 17 - 03/28/07 - IP#: 165.139.169.xxx Yeah, Tina is right. It can be good for lunch, but if you eat too much of it that can be a problem. It's so high in sodium, and that's not a good thing when you've got a weigh-in coming up. Your body will retain water, and you might weigh more than normal.
Reply from Q, Age 17 - 03/28/07 - IP#: 69.202.156.xxx Chicken soup and tomato is good. You could even throw in 4 or 5 crackers. Its all about servings and calories.
Reply from Tina, Age 15 - 03/28/07 - IP#: 205.188.113.xxx I personally like chicken noodle soup but i add lots of vegatables to mine like carrots ect. Soup can be good for lunch but it's very high in sodium so try not to make it a habbit.
Reply from Lizzie, Age 16 - 03/28/07 - IP#: 70.153.216.xxx okay so the last two people both agreed SODIUM = bad. ANd i was like. WOah okayy I eat two servings of soup practically everyday for lunch. So i looked at my soup can and it looks like im getting like over 1000 mg (( or w.e. measurement its in)) of sodium just at lunch. So i did research. You all say that it makes you retain water. I'm not sure I have that problem. AND its also because most people don't drink enough water to rid their bodies of the Na, intake. I pride myself on the fact that i drink at least a gallon of water a day. Thats around SEVEN water bottles. So, i'm figuring as long as you drink HECKA water you're fine. yup. thats all for now. lizz.
Reply from Lizz, Age 16 - 03/28/07 - IP#: 70.153.211.xxx dude i totally eat soup everydayy for lunch. Sometimes it isnt really filling (( like it doesn't hit the "spot")) but no big deal. You can eat two servings for under 300 calories. And you know what?!?!? Its not empty calories either. Because even though when veggies are boiled and such they lose nutrient value, there is still a good amount. I love soup. Not to mention there are low calorie soups and such out there like the healthy choise stuff. Anyway, yeah soup = good choice.
