Reply from Lindsey, Age 11 - 04/03/07 - IP#: 207.200.116.xxx A job should DEFINATELY help. It IS after school right? And if it is at a food place, you should NEVER eat extra meals there. Boredom eating is a common problem with a simple solution. KEEP YOURSELF BUSY!!!! You may not think that it is easy, but it is. Workout, play a board game, go on a walk, join a sport, get a job..... these are only a few of many possibilities out there. And keep healthy foods ready in case you get bored, too. And about the running thing. Keep eating healthy and try not eating mindlessly which is whatyou do when you watch t.v. and stuff. Also, try going on mile walks everyday. Once that becomes easy then try jogging, then running. It is going to be tough but you can succeed if yo put your mind to it. Also try doing things like squats to get stronger. Especially legs workouts if you are going to try to run. Anyways, just try not to give up, even when it is the hardest thing to do. Trust me, once you lose weight you will be very happy and motivated to do more! Good luck and I hope you get out of the 200's!!!!
Reply from Alyssia, Age 17 - 04/03/07 - IP#: 67.174.141.xxx Well, by the time school starts, you will definitely be out of the 200's by then if you work out 3-4 times a week or more, and eat healthy. After 2 months you should be out of the 200's. You just have to work hard. By then if you train yourself hard enough you should be able to run a few miles. It's going to be hard to do, and you'll have to work at it almost everyday. But it is very possible. Good luck!
Reply from Whitney, Age 17 - 04/03/07 - IP#: 207.28.183.xxx Thats fricking awesome and i wish i had motivation like that, i know what u mean by getting out of the 200's, its a huge accomplishment and once u do it you will feel awesome, my advice about the running thing is you just gotta do it, i mean i used to be like you and i can run about a mile in a half in 12-13 min now but it still gets me outta breath (i really hate running!) but just start off slow run as far or long as u can and use that as a starting point then each time add a minute on to it! Well good luck with ur goals and if u ever need a diet partner or nething u can e-mail me at whitneygeise@yahoo.com
