you can lose your eye sight, your kidney go bad and many more my mom is daibetic that's why im trying to lose weight now. Oh and you can be very crankey legs hurting you and every thing

Diabetes is a disease (kind of), i guess sickness is a better word, but you can't get rid of it unless you have diabetes2. diabetes 2 is the type of diabetes where you get it because you are overweight. It happens when your body isn't producing enough insulin, which helps regulate the sugar in your blood. When this happens, you need to shot insulin in your arm, hand, etc. You need to keep track of everything you eat, because that depends on the how much insulin you need. So basically, it affects your blood, etc. You can get very serious reactions, when you have a too low blood sugar or a too high one. Your body can't help you, like it does when you dont have diabetes.
