Ht. 5'1", Start: 160 lb, Today: 156 lb, Goal: 115 lb - I hear that crunches and sit ups just make you look fatter...is that true? or just a myth?

If you have excess fat around your stomach it most likely won't make you look bigger because you aren't building too much muscle because of that fat. Working your stomach muscles helps work off some of the fat.

They build muscles but don't burn fat. So if you are not doing anything to lose the fat as well, you'll just build muscles under that fat, sometimes making you look like you have a bigger stomach.

they dont make you look fatter they make you look muscular(but only if theres no fat there in the first place) so yeah you may have another inch but you look sculpted and very fit.
