Reply from Taylor, Age 14 - 04/16/07 - IP#: 68.85.113.xxx If your BMI is 21-23 u need 1400 calories. If it is 24-26 you need 1600 calories. Next time u go to a book store look for the book "The Diet for teenagers only" By Carrie Wiatt and Barbara Schroeder. It has all the info u need! :)

Your body will store the fat you consume if it goes into starvation mode, but the accepted number is about 1000-1200 for that to happen, even though that is one number for everyone, which is extremely inaccurate. Make sure it's not just calories you are worried about. Look to see where it's coming from, and if the are good to be putting them into your body.
