From Claire, Age 18 - 05/16/07 - IP#: 64.131.205.xxx Click here to reply Ht. 5'4", Start: 210 lb, Today: 162 lb, Goal: 130 lb - oki so my bst friend is losing more weight than me and she's becoming snobbish almost and self obsorbed. I started this dieting thing and then she was inspired by me so went on a diet too (we both are overweight) and then I got stuck on a plateu and she just tagged behind not really strictly dieting like me...all she did was a couple of situps and pushups and switched her bread to whole wheat. Now I suddenly see that she's lost weight. i'm suck on a plateu and she's suddenly racing ahead. I'm so happy that she lost about 30 lbs but still it feels weird...I dont kno how to explain. Maybe I don't make sense. I'm just frustrated that things have slowed down for me when I've always been busting my butt and things are suddenly moving fast for her when she doesn't even do much. Also howd you all find out about this site? and i'm still sick. I've reallly been slacking.
Reply from Alyssia, Age 17 - 05/17/07 - IP#: 67.174.141.xxx I've had something similar happen. My friend saw me losing weight, and I think she got jealous, so she says that she's lost, but I know she's lying. She looks the same, she drinks lots of pop, refuses to exercise (she won't even take a walk), eats badly, lots of fast food, and she says that she has lost 62 pounds in 3 months. : ) So, I know she's full of crap. Just keep going. You are doing this the right way. She'll probably give up later, and gain all the weight back anyway.

Ur feelings are completely normal i promise. If i were u i would use it as motivation and maybe invite her to do a work out with u and try to keep each other going, thats what real freinds are for!
Reply from Julia, Age 13 - 05/16/07 - IP#: 71.32.9.xxx Hey, I would be really upset too. Just don't strike out at her. Try doing a cardio work out (running, getting your heart rate up) than doing push ups. Although that is good for building muscle, if you want to burn fat, work on the cardio, you will loose a lot better. good luck..... and i found this site on google best wishes~
