Reply from Shannon, Age 13 - 05/28/07 - IP#: 71.114.44.xxx No it depends on what is causing you to sweat. If it's the heat, than no. But if it's because your working out and running, than yes. [Ex.If you're outside sitting on your porch in the middle of July and you start sweating, you're not burning anything. You're just sweating because your body is trying to cool down. But if you are on a treadmill jogging and you start to sweat, chances are you are burning calories. The reason for this is because your body is working and you are putting a lot of exursion into what you are doing.] Get it?
Reply from Sage, Age 15 - 05/27/07 - IP#: 71.111.131.xxx Yeah, it basically means you're putting a lot of effort into the workout and you're overall burning more calories which is fat. So yeah! Work up a sweat! Working out in the heat also burns more fat.
