Reply from Sarah, Age 14 - 07/27/07 - IP#: 72.160.140.xxx weights are good, and that high reps, low weight thing=myth. your not going to bulk up. you have no idea how hard it is,how much discipline and determination and everything it takes to bulk up like that, and it wouldnt magically happen overnight anyways. trust me. and lifting is like the best fat burning method i know of. i could go on about why for hours but its almost 3am and i really dont feel like explaining it, sorry, but trust me its good. all of my friends(me now too) lead extremely healthy lifestyles
Reply from Kelly, Age 15 - 07/25/07 - IP#: 216.101.185.xxx I agree that running is a good idea - you'll build muscle but not weird or bulgy muscles. You'll just tone. But why are you committed to losing fat but not weight? Is someone trying to stop you from losing weight?
Reply from Deanna, Age 14 - 07/25/07 - IP#: 24.62.245.xxx Muscle burns fat. So when you weight train, you burn fat more effectively and you tone up. It doesn't necessarily mean you lost weight.
Reply from Kayla, Age 16 - 07/25/07 - IP#: 68.0.231.xxx Actually if you do weight training with low weights and high reps you'll tone up instead of bulking up. You could also try running which is great at toning up your lower section. Good luck!
