I'm 18 and I weigh 280lbs. I'm pretty happy with myself. The only reason I really want to lose weight is so I can be healthy. I'm not really concerned with what other people think about my weight or me but if any of you have any ideas on how I could lose weight then please let me know!!!! I've tried everything but nothing seems to work...I am going to try and go in for gastric bypass surgery but I want to see if this website will help first! thanks! xoxo, Kacey

Overeating is a very deep habit like biting ur nails but 10 times worse. .people bite their nails cuz they are nervous or stressed or lonely. . people overeat for some of the same reasons or cuz theyre sad or bored. .. so, how do u stop biting ur nails? u make the nails taste bad or u hide them with gloves, or distract urself. . stoping overeating is done pretty much same way. . u stay away from fast food and junk food, get ur parents to hide it at home, and when u crave something u distract urself like take ur dog for a walk, or call a friend, or do a puzzle... Losing weight is a lot like coming off drugs, , people don't understand that it's a battle, your like hooked on something..I mean yeah it's not like crack or something but overeating can kill you just as bad, slowly.. Here are some other tips I found: 1) First, admit that you eat for reasons besides hunger (bored, sad) - its like an addiction 2) Decide that you are willing to substitute other comforting & entertaining things 3) How much do you want to be a healthy weight? - if you want to enough, you WILL lose weight and keep it off. You will learn to substitute other things for food. 4) Are you willing to substitute other things and break the overeating habit? 5) What will you do when you crave foods? Make a list of other things you like to do and keep it handy. 6) Realize that you will feel antsy for a couple weeks when you cut down on food, but it will get better, and you will be so proud of yourself. 7) Make little changes, baby steps. If you just stop soda, you will lose 15 lb. If you cut out fast food you will lose 50 lb and if you stop junk food you will lose 50 lb more. But each time you stop something you will crave it really bad for like two weeks, then less, then you won't even miss it. . Gastric bypass surgery is major surgery and will cause u problems forever. . So, try what I wrote, and tell us how u r doing. U CAN BREAK UR ADDICTION GIRL!!!
