Ht. 5'7", Start: 175 lb, Today: 175 lb, Goal: 155 lb - I heard a rumor that becoming a vegetarian can help you lose weight. Has anybody tried this? Does it help?

not necessarily. By cutting out meat and eating veggies and fruits, you tend to eat a lot more carbs because you dont have protein that fills you up quickly. and you tend to get hungry more often. But if you control you carb intake then yes of course you can lose weight with healthy foods and working out.

well, a lot of meats can be very fattening, so i suppose if you ate a lot of those before becoming a vegetarian, becoming a vegetarian would mean cutting out fattening meats, which would mean you would lose weight. :)
