From dncr, Age 16 - 01/06/08 - IP#: 70.94.49.xxx Click here to reply Ht. 5'8", Start: 180 lb, Today: 180 lb, Goal: 140 lb - so basically, i have a problem. i get SO bored/lazy? working out in the first 5 mintues. this is my third time trying to loose weight since september, and i gave up everytime after a few weeks; normally the first one. i lost some weight about 3 years ago through just dancing. this time around i get bored with dancing, and ive been going to a dance stuido for about 13 years now. i really wanna stick to the diet this time cuz i have a lot of big things coming up this year; spring break, confirmation, senior pics, being in my cousins wedding, summer! and i just wanna look good. dont get me wrong, i am comfortable "in my shoes" but i just think my weight needs some tweaking a bit. another thing is that its hard for me to find time to work out between school and work and other stuff going on. i also have a lot of homework. i also work at the mall in retail so theres somewhat of a pressure there. i think im gonna try doing taebo or step aerobics a few times this week and maybe that wont bore me. also, if dont work out that much and just maintain my calorie intake (1600 a day ok?) would i still drop some weight? like a pound a week possibly? well let me know some techniques you guys use to work out and stuff and any other input you may have thanks guys, good luck! :)
Reply from Lucee, Age 16 - 01/07/08 - IP#: 84.13.87.xxx if you dont do exercise you can still lose weight cutting your calories, (also i think 1600 is a good number,) but you'd find dropping the weight a lot easier if you exercise at least 3 times per week for at least 30 mins, the exercise will also help tone you up and make you feel better about yourself!

Instead of being bored eating just go exercise. Your not going to lose any weight without exercise and working out. Its really tough. I eat cause I am bored also but not only that but because I am depressed. I am doing a little better. I just started yesterday and I lost a couple pounds already. So yeah good luck dude!
